Tip, biomes usualy have more overlap in available recources if you are creative. Just because you cant farm in the marshlands dosent mean you cant have use mushrooms for flour. This is only one example.

Make sure to have your camps (like woodcuters) entrances towards the deposits/trees they are harvesting to minimise travel times. This is because your gatherers will make many more trips between deposit/camp than camp/storage.

Another great tip Minestar 2000! I use this all the time. But I didn't add it to this video as I have another one in the making.

It is possible to unlock the race-specific housing in the Smoldering City, which is very helpful since it gives you options and lessens the number of blueprints in the building pool. Also I recommend to get Harpies in your starting caravan whenever possible, their +5 to carry bonus is huge and you can get lots of reputation with them with relative ease. Since they (and Lizards) are kinda squishy during storms i recommend favoring them (the button for that is found in every species menu in the top left corner) to endure the storm. you can juggle the favoring for quite a time before people leave, maybe that saves you a bit of fuel that you don't need to sacrifice. Another tip is to call the trader if you have hostility problems, since that increases the queens impatience which lowers hostility in return.

Very good tips Paul R! Thank you very much for sharing. I also love the Harpies, especially how well they help make coats for the humans and beavers. I must say I avoid using the favorite race button in that menu, as I got burned by it once back last year. But it may be better balanced now.

I think its the mark of a robust tutorial system that Ive picked up on all of these little details during 30 hours of playing the game, not watching any tutorial or gameplay before playing. I play on Pioneer for now but Im warming up to the idea of getting to combat blightrot and corruption in the next couple of rounds.

@@perafilozof oh yeah, you know i have been thinking about why i enjoy some games more than others for a couple years now. biggest thing for me is continuous progression and options offered on the side. i'm the type of guy that prefers to level up in WoW across multiple characters and skips the end game. that's also my biggest gripe against SC2 type of RTS... too number driven and less creativity involved. This game tho looks like a nice 10-50 hours time sink.
@perafilozof
@perafilozof Жыл бұрын
Hehe we are very much alike than! I too loved to have multiple characters in WOW and ESO to have every race, class, crafting profession. And send stuff between the characters. Yeah, this game has a long progression line as it's designed for you to learn it as you go and it rewards good understanding of all of it's elements. On the easiest difficulty you can get off with a few mistakes and even not understanding something but at the last two difficulty levels you have to come prepared with the know-how to play it.

Can camps be moved for free? Moving buildings is not free, it cost 5 wood.

Thank you for your great tips. I not sure, it seem to don't have benefit for me from build house next to hearth? It just request to build within hearth large area to let people move in. But build closer or next to don't give more benefit for my games, or where I can found that?

Hi, maybe I was unclear, the important thing is to keep them in the range of it. The distance inside that range doesn't seam to make any difference right now. Also, I posted a new video with fresh tips : kzbin.info/www/bejne/gKvdg4uqZ9yKm5I

@@sinaruden9280 I have noticed these games long time ago, even though about featuring them on my lists, but the reason I didn't was because the developer is known for leaving his games incomplete while having much higher than usual Indie game prices. Which stinks of milking hype and concepts instead of proper game development and sales.

@@perafilozof oh damn i didn't know about this it sucks then. that Civil War game was pretty decent but as you said i saw a lot of people complain about bugs and stuff on steam reviews so i decided to wait a few years to try Dreadnoughts. I'm also looking forward to Studio Larians Baldur's Gate 3. That game is going to be insane, hearing a lot of good things from EA already. I genuinely suggest you play their previous game, Divinity Original Sin 2, if you haven't. But considering how knowledgeable you are and what you said about liking variety and options, you probably already played it hahaha.

These are some tasty tips to get past the storm when I first started playing this there was some drawbacks and some defeats But I started learning how to play the game right and then I got better learning about certain races getting what they needed using my resources proficiently and keeping that fire going at all times Always making sure I made the necessary upgrades but even though I got destroyed during the first half of the gameplay I learned ropes real quick plus I had some motivation Of my brother who likes to brag how he is further in the game So I double time my efforts and got more better for I'm still learning the game myself I find the art visual of the buildings looking like almost Warcraft 3 ish also it's got that Frost punk vibe instead of winter time It's a stormy rain environment Which I would like to see some weather effects like give it some Kick in the game p Also this reminds me of a game scenario I created in Minecraft for my friends called against The night storm where I created a small island with little resources And they had to figure a way to make a portal to escape the storm I set up really good gameplay elements like fighting enchanted items to help them out And extra resources like food material and tools they would have to find these maps I would hide with the coordinates to these resources and treasures in the ocean to find But no one could ever go out at night I played as a creature in the game called the nightcrawler so if anybody was caught after a night I would come after them it gives it a more of a challenge But back on course I would like to see elements of the storm being more of a threat but still it's very fun and I enjoy it's challenge and thanks for the tips they will be added to the book of strategy Perafilozof 😀👍

Please, don't use words like "best city builder" or "city builder" at all, because it's not what it is. It can be described with only one sentence in a video - settlement manager. By using "city builder" and "best city builder" you downplaying all other city builders games which are immensely much better at their thing, but also at the same time confusing audience of the game, because they expected it to be a city builder, and not an endless loop of challenges while managing the settlement. When you say "city builder" people expect simulation of a city, some sort of esthetic to it, a tycoon game type design and not THIS. This is not a good way to tell people about this game.
@perafilozof
@perafilozof Жыл бұрын
Honestly, I agree with you MrZlocktar. And it's true that the city builder tag doesn't really fit this game. Problem is... it's not only marketed that way, but also every digital store front advertises it with the city building tag. And it's right there in the game's description. So I said, while I agree with you, I can't change the reality of it.
@MrZlocktar
@MrZlocktar Жыл бұрын
@@perafilozof You can start with mentioning that it's not your typical "tycoon game", but a new take on a whole genre. Completely new in fact. One of a kind on a market right now. It would be fair to not confuse people. Just saying. That would both gather attention for a game, because it's something new, but also would help people to realize before hand that this "city builder" is a trap) Also as i said, the city builder is a whole different genre of games that this game has no connection with. It's simply wrong to downplay them like this. I believe that this is a right thing to do, because the dev team themselves seems like a good people who are willing to even loose some money by telling their audience "you might want to wait a bit for steam holiday sales, because game will be available at store at a lower price". What kind of dev's would've ever do that?
@perafilozof
@perafilozof Жыл бұрын
I know what you mean. But I also know that most of the time developers try to marked their game as something totally new their games end up failing to get an audience because people are simply more likely to get behind something familiar rather than risk their money and time on something new. Of course there are exceptions but no one wants to finance a shot in the dark in this economy. And I have personally given up fighting windmills of society. I am too tired for that, I spent my youth in battles like that. Its up to youngsters to take up the torch.
