What's most amazing with TheDoors is that the band lasted for a relatively short period of time (5-6 years) and yet until today its considered one of the most legendary rock bands in history. This is an example why making a few but quality songs is more important than making 20,000 songs that are s***t!

My parents were gone for the weekend and I dropped 2 hits at like 2 am. Needless to say, I was tripping balls all night. 7 am I walked back to my house in the snow and sat in my room on the floor with this song on repeat and watched the sun come up. I never have had a lot of friends, my life blows but that is a memory ill hang onto until I am gone

"At first flash of Eden, we race down to the sea. Standing there on freedom's shore" "Can you feel it, now that Spring has come, That it's time to live in the scattered sun" "This is the strangest life I've everrrr known"

That middle passage is the best, and most powerfully creative of any rock passage! It's like he's shot, then rises from the ashes as the music builds and builds to the slide guitar, then slows down. Wow!

I love this song so much which came out 3rd of July 1968 and was recorded at TTG Studios in Los Angeles, this song is still a golden One Hit Wonder classic from the 60's in 2020 and we need to blast this song to brighten up our future thanks to the virus, the lyric "Waiting for the Sun" can symbolize a new beginning of life
