Great to see Tahas work getting some appreciation.Him and ensar were the first guys who allowed me to experience high quality artisanal ouds outside of India and Cambodia back in 2011. He's been making attars for quite a while now and his stuff is very underrated! I passed on this release as it would have been a little redundant in my collection. Glad to see him back in the attar game again and refreshing some of his older work! Thank you and great job bringing such gems to light !

I wish I could of known about the two early on. Your collection must be pretty prized to you. Yes underrated is true. But he still sells out. A true hunter of oud.

@@TherapeuticFragrance True, I meant he doesn't have the same notoriety for his attars in the wider fragrance community than the likes of ensar et al. I guess its probably because he focuses more on hunting down and producing top tier oud oils himself, rather than developing attars for wider consumption. Believe it or not my collection isn't that big actually.I have a 'live every day like its your last' mentality when it comes to consuming perfume and get through stuff quickly unless I think it needs aging. I grew up wearing attars ( just over 20 years now), so can easily get dissatisfied if I buy similar accords too often without taking a break. Its one of the reasons I recommend newbies to start with mid-range oils rather than the high end stuff straight away. Otherwise I fear their journey with ouds and attars may be full of disappointments, as most of what you buy will never beat what you started off with!

Those are some good points. If I didn't love aging and carry it over from cigars I would definitely agree with you. Fragrances are to be used first and foremost, one important lesson is don't get lost in that.

"Blessed to have gotten into fragrances"! Indeed! These aromatics are such gifts from nature... and yes, from the artists who distill them and blend them! I love the passion you exude in your reviews. There is a sense of awe (almost overwhelming), as well as a mingling of emotion and spirituality, that I share!

I'm a bit scared to get in to oils, it's like popping out of one rabbit hole and falling straight down another lol. Could you do a video on starter ouds

Yes. Oud Yusuf was it for a couple years but now its gone. There are a couple of others. It changes everything. With oud some of my favorites are just a few drops i own. I just smell them from the bottle and it satisfies.
