He was attempting to banish her because he found out she knew he created the road and she said nothing, allowing them to die. And when he was grieving and feeling guilty about killing them, she showed no sympathy and told him to get used to it. He was angry and didn't want her to be hanging around him for the rest of his life. He was just lashing out.

@@moyaxoxo5923 well first, she literally was like "I'll turn myself in" (to Rio) and when he wanted to do it for her, she switched up and turned on him and didn't even try to help him despite him being the one to help her get her power back. And she only changed her mind for herself, not for him (telling him directly she didn't sacrifice herself for him). She showed him no sympathy when he was trying to come to terms with killing his friends and instead told him to get used to it (and when he said he wouldn't she said "we'll see" which is not a good response at all). Despite having some level of care for him, she really wasn't that nice to him until she believed he was her son, and when she knew he wasn't, that softness was gone. After Alice's death, she was basically taunting him ("are you sure"/"you're just like your mother"/"come pet") and didn't take his mourning seriously. She had her nice moments towards him, but as a whole, she really wasn't that good to him. And please tell me how Wanda did him more harm.

The acting on this series is so good... Agatha's 'Sometimes boys die' and 'I need more time' when Nicky dies was delivered with so much heartbreak...And Panos saying what if this is not real, and being kind of right because Billy created the road with his magick...

Agatha spent the last 250 years killing witches using the song Nicky made up with her. He was already not totally on board killing witches. Then, in Agatha's trial, you could hear him begging her to stop killing witches. She knows he's going to be really disappointed when she has to face him in the afterlife. She's not ready for that. The scene of Billy finding Tommy a home was heartbreaking. One of the best scenes of the show.

Totally agree, and if you think about it, she used her son while alive and afterwards while dead to keep killing. She must be ashamed, and for very good reason. Agreed on the Tommy scene. It left Panos in pieces 😭

This is my one criticism of the show - they skimmed over Jen's backstory and showed us nothing around that clip of her being water-tortured by the physician. There's a massive history to the persecution of midwives as witches, and I was excited that they might delve into that. The reveal that it was Agatha all along happened so quickly, it ended up just being anti-climactic. The truth just tumbled accidentally out of a conversation.

Someone commented on another channel saying that when Agatha says 'I can cast illusions, control a feeble mind, and move things at my will, but I cannot heal you (Jen), I cannot protect you from what's coming (Alice), and cannot divine when she will return (Lilia)" and it made so much sense to me. Of course Agatha would be bitter and/or resentful towards those who had the types of power that (she at least perceived) would be better suited to protect her son! Whether she's syphoning magic from others or using it in an offensive way, I can't even imagine how torn she might feel, knowing that her power is innately destructive, while completely lacking the protective aspects that _might_ have been able to keep her son alive.... 😥

This series had the smallest budget and knew how to use it in the best way. Rio tearing up the background was so genius. In addition to being a more economical way out, it is a reference to the 'Truman Show', and shows how powerful she is. By breaking the illusion that has been presented to us throughout the series in such a simple way, they demonstrate that, for Death, something as grand as the Witches Road is a mere piece of cloth. In the comics she can go almost anywhere on the Marvel Universe. She's constantly seen hangin out with the most powerful cosmic entities such as The One Above All, Eternity, Gallactus and The Phoenix Force.

The stories are just that - stories that can fit into her villainous narrative. The truth is incredibly personal. She took the song they created together out of love and, in her grief, used it fuel witch mass murder. Nicky never liked the killing. "Momma, stop!" The truth is intimate and personal and touches on her unhealed Wound.

In Agatha's flashabck in WandaVision we saw that she was capture by her Coven and own mother, so they could execute her in 1693. Her flashback in this show happens in 1750. Agatha had already kill her Coven and mother. Remember, her broch belonged to her mother. She took it form her corpse.

Jennifer Kale is descendant of the first Baron Mordo. She's the cousin of Johnny Blaze and Danny, the Ghost Riders. She's friends with Man Thing (from 'Werewolf by Night') and is a member of The Midnight Sons. I can't wait to see how Marvel will use her in future projects. I will shut up now.

Btw, Agatha says that she made "an odd spell for bank notes", she didn't know who it was going to be used on. Jen said that she didn't know how that man "bound her without magic", now we know: he found someone who had magic and paid her for the blanket bounding spell that he could've used on anyone.

Lilia's Sigil protected Billy from all Witches. In addition to being Death, Rio is the original Green Witch. Therefore the Sigil also hid him from her. Death always honors the agreements it makes, as Agatha sacrificed herself in his place, Billy was free. But nothing stops her from going after Tommy

I loved the last two episodes, and cried my ass off. Phenomenal acting, and I didn't see the twist coming that Billy created the Road, but when they replayed scenes from earlier episodes, it made so much sense. The flashbacks to Agatha and Nicky really hit me in the feels. I really enjoyed this show

It seems like they're unsure whether or not there's gonna be a second season, but I really hope there is so we can see Billy find Tommy! At least a mini-season of like 3-4 episodes or maybe a standalone movie to help wrap that storyline up, and so we can find out what happens with Jen🤞

Agatha has absorbed Billy's magic, which is incredibly powerful. This, combined with the deal she made with Rio, which was fulfilled because he volunteered in the end, made it possible for her to remain as a ghost. When they encountered Agatha's Mother's ghost, Rio said that she hates ghosts. Maybe because they cheat death in a certain way, by being able to travel through the afterlife and still remain in the world of the living.

I assumed you can simply choose not to go into the afterlife and remain as a ghost. That's why they show what happened to Alice, all Rio did was show her the way.

@@VinniePaul91 They said in the show that ghost have unfinished business. Agatha could not face Nicky and due to her deal with Rio, she didn't came for her. I also think is easier to witches be ghosts since they have more knowledge and afiliation with the ocult. But i don't think everyone who dies can stay as a ghost since it porbably would disrupt the balance.

I think Agatha being a ghost is her Plan B. Her Plan A of course is to survive and sacrifice everything/everyone else. But given how attached she has become to Billy, she knew she has to have a Plan B. I think that's why she made that deal with Rio in Episode 8. So when she manipulated Billy into surrendering for her, she knew she fulfilled her part of the deal with Rio. She still wasn't sure if she should go with Plan A or Plan B but when Billy talked to her telepathically about Nicky, she knew it would be Plan B. When she sacrificed herself, it is already clear that the deal she had with Rio was fulfilled. So Rio felt compelled to do her end of the bargain - leave Agatha alone and to not show her face. Well, that was exactly what Agatha planned, and viola! Agatha is now a ghost. Plan B success.

She can't face Nicky, because she made a child live a life of murderous deception. Murdering someone is one thing, but having him spend what little time they were gifted by Death being a willing lure for more victims... hearing those nice ladies that only wanted to help him scream and beg and die.... could you face his soul having never done any good for anyone to make up for it? Such a brilliantly written villain

The finale really had me at my heartstrings. Agatha’s relationship with Nicholas reminded me so much of mine with my mother. The revelation that the Ballad of the Witches’ Road being originally created by Agatha and Nicholas as both a con method and their respective lullaby was surprisedly ingenious and sweet. It really broke my heart when Rio came for him, and Agatha descended into her innermost evil as a way to avoid coping and refusing to face him in the afterlife as she felt so much guilt. I do agree with Billy that Nicholas would’ve forgiven her. While I understand Billy’s guilty conscience for creating the Witches’ Road, it wasn’t really in vain. Sharon was reunited with her deceased husband, Alice finally broke her family’s curse, Lilia finally made peace with herself, Jen survived and was freed from her bonds, Rio got her bodies as well as her ex’s body, and Agatha finally took the first steps as she confronted her past. She may not be alive, but she can still help Billy find Tommy and be his guide until she feels ready to move on and be with Nicholas. Billy made the right choice to close the Witches’ Road and was kind of him to honor their fallen coven members. I have loved this series and watching your reactions to it. I have a theory that the reason Agatha kept killing witches was to get power, to eventually have the power to awaken the dead. I am sure it's also the reason she got the darkhold. To find a way to bring her son back. She learned about the Scarlet Witch and felt the power in Westview so went there to get it. She knew Scarlet Witch has the power to bring someone back from the dead.

And one more awesome detail. Billy's red cape. The costume designer says the outside of it stitched with a pattern like Wanda's outfit from the end of Wandavision. The inside resembles the lines and pattern of Vision. Such a great little detail.

The day he refused to kill witches, he died. So either a) the offerings to death extended his life, or b) the magic absorption involved some sort of life extension spell to stave off death, or c) she was using her acquired power to shield them from death’s view.

The bodies could be a justification to extend his time since Aagtha was offering lives is return. She said it that she didn't like taking Nicky she only did it because it was her job.

This doesn’t track to me. Agatha always was a witch killer long before Nicky and she says herself she can’t protect Nicky which, if she could trade Rio dead witches for time, that’s protection. Also if it really was the thing keeping Nicky alive there’s no way she would have gone to sleep so easily that night without fulfilling her witch-killing quota.

@@starvinggamerWe really can't assume she was on a witch killing spree before she had Nicky. We were only shown that one time back in Salem, and I fully agree with Rio, it was self defense. But after she had Nicky, she was afraid that Death would come and get him so she started killing witches as a distraction, or maybe as payment to Rio. She's a bad person, but she loved Nicky and that was the only thing keeping her "in check". But after Nicky died, there is nothing else grounding her to, at least, have a bit of "good" in her. So, boom, she became a full-on witch killer

It was worse because she used the song that was special between her son and her to keep killing the witches even tho there wasn't a need anymore. She was killing them to give Rio bodies and possibly buy time for Nicky. I don't think it was actually working or maybe it did because that same night they decided not to he died. But he did have the cough and seem frail before hand so he possibly would've died either way. Also if she worked with a coven maybe they could've protected healed and used divination to outsmart Rio

So Agatha would trick other witches and steal their powers by manipulation with her fake story about “The Road”. However Billy came along and actually created the real “Road” with his powers, so that’s why Agatha was really surprised when it actually appeared.

7:19 well technically he did that already, when wanda stop her spell, his body "died" and his soul find another body, so if william"s body dies, he could find another body. 16:40 Panos i feel you🫂 she asked rio for azaleas for when she died 😢 (Fun fact about billy's costume, especially his cape, the costume departement made it so that there's trace of both his parents on the costume, so that they're always with him when he's wearing it). Nicky was meant to die at birth, but rio (because she loves agatha) granted her time with him (that's why rio said Agatha got something (from death) that no one else is allowed to have). 30:50 yeah that episode hit way too close to home 🥺😢 The road was never real, she created the road based on a song her son invented so that she can still more power. Remember Rio said she hate ghosts 😉 So Jen don't know the road is not real. (although this is a marvel show, we get to have 1 gay kiss, 1 lesbian kiss and a "trans lives matter" flag in billy's room, in that really good show, something is moving 🥳)

the reason Billy words hit Agatha because she made a deal with Death in the first place, the same thing she did for Billy. Nicky was meant to be stillborn but he lived and that made losing him even greater. also she had choice in afterlife to be ghost (Death hates ghosts) and magic ppl can manipulate their astral body (we've seen it in Doctor Strange, What if and here, for Billy he can resurrect himself). also 'I cannot heal, i cannot protect, I cannot divine' are her coven today (jen, alice, lilia) things she wished back then for her kid.

KF "Oh, okay, but it's more complicated than that. You'd also be playing Deat-" AP: "I'LL DO IT!" People have been justifying Agatha's witch-slaying by insisting that she had to do it to keep Nicholas alive, but that only applied to a six-year period of her long and murderous life. For centuries after that, she was hunting her own kind and massacring them, despite knowing they were rare, endangered, and special. She was motivated by greed and entitlement. Thanos had a more noble motivations! "Don't steal her struggle' is actually quite wise. If you help a butterfly out of its chysalis, it will die, because the struggle to get out is what gets its heart going. Without the struggle, the butterfly's blood won't be pumping enough to inflate its wings, and it will just die. Sometimes we need to learn how to fight on our own.

My theory Agatha killed witches to keep Rio busy and also get more power, its inpliedthe more power you have the longer you live also Evanora basicaly said she was born power hungry. Once Nicky dies she kept doing it for the same reason except this time was to hide from Death, she probably adquired the Darkhold sometime after looking for away to bring Nicky back, with its power she was able to hide from Death from centuries, thats why Rio went after her, she is been trying to collect her soul for a long time.

So apparently how this unfolds in the upcoming Vision Quest Series this story of finding Tommy is one of the arcs. Sorry you just know when Agatha says "Lets find Tommy" That cow is going to find the nearest body she can find and take it. What they appear to have done is adapt the story from the Comics where Agatha is a witch and walks the road with Wanda as a Ghost. I know some people are wondering what about the road, yes he closed it with a memorial stone but the road remains. Wiccan creates reality, his powers are huge up there with Dr Strange. I wont post the link as YT hates that, but if you do a search how powerful Wiccan really is.

Wouldn't be surprised if the Agatha team was told not to explore the Darkhold story any further, as it might be kept for another project. And in terms of Nicky, it might be that she can't face him cause technically she wasted the few years she had with him killing witches and continued to do so with their song. Billy is right, though. We are sure Nicky would forgive her. It will be interesting to see how they'll use Agatha in the MCU going forward. Thanks for watching 🫶

He didn't really have an opportunity by the time he knew she was Death. Unless you're suggesting he should have stopped in the middle of the climactic battle to ask about this woman who he doesn't consider his mom? As far as Agatha knows (from inside Wanda's decaying spell) Rio told her "That witch is gone." And IF Billy had asked Rio about Wanda, she would have said the same thing to him because that was the word Jac Schaeffer was told to use by Marvel.

Episode 8 is finale, episode 9 is epilogue Agatha didn't want to kill Jen because she was a midwife and she could have helped Agatha when she gave birth and save Nicky. Jen is coming back in other projects for sure

It makes sense why Agatha was desperate to find out how Wanda created REALITY!! Agatha wanted her reality where Nicky was alive Wanda suffered so much pain from loss of lives, her parents, then her Brother then Vis all that after being kidnapped as a kid for hydra (or whoever) to use her as a weapon by experimenting on her Her mind heart and soul was destroyed but she was still a good woman Agatha All Along surpassed Wandavision on all fronts if you ask me

At the end of the day, we witnessed two powerful witches succumb to their grief, while they were both unable to protect/keep the thing that was the most important to them. Though in Wanda's case, her son saved himself. Something Nichy wasn't able to do. We loved both shows for different reasons. Thanks for watching 🫶

I guess Wanda is to play a big part of the next 2 Avengers films. So they will have to get Vision Quest out before Avengers Doomsday in 2026. Of coarse we need a Wiccan series! Will we get one? Hopefully at some point. I agree that Wiccans crown was to cartoon like. I hope that next time it will look more metal with a bluish tint to it. I also wish that Agatha's attachment to Billy was more linier and not so back and forth.

Billy has Wanda's abilities and a few others like he can change the way magic works. So he made the road real, so now I believe it can actually be conjured by other covens now. Also the world America Chavez from multiverse of madness came from was created by Billy

We don't know how strong he is, but the fact he can create a reality on autopilot, similar to what his mother did, gives us a clue of how strong he is or can be. Agatha's reputation is messed up, but it really illustrates how abusive Death is. Agatha is Death's vassal among the living! She lives on borrowed time and only as long as Death allows her life to continue. Death's manipulation game is next level. 6:14 You'll see. Like I said, Death's manipulation game is next level, very dark and twisted. 7:30 This shows us that Death makes deals, and these deals are binding. Listen carefully for what Agatha wants. She wants to be released from the deal she made when she was young, and not just that, she wants Death to never see her again--smart move, albeit twofold. If Death cannot see you again, she cannot collect you. If Death cannot collect Agatha, she'll never have to see her son again ='( Agatha has the reputation she has because she's been tasked with ending people's lives sooner than they are supposed to end. Death cannot do it herself, as she's bound by the rules of the cosmic universe, but NOT Agatha. Death has been holding the prospect of imminent death over Agatha for centuries, and Agatha has been running from it. The only thing keeping her alive is her fear of death, figuratively and literally. 15:47 Peak MCU right here, the entire series! Everyone who worked on this series (from the script to the editing team) was on point! 19:44 I don't think Death realizes how abusive she has been. Agatha has been trying to survive. She wasn't going to do anything that jeopardized living. Everything Agatha did since their original deal was her trying to stay in Death's good graces. 23:46 She was ready to return to her old life until Billy hit her with some real emotional damage. 24:20 She couldn't save her son, but now when faced with the opportunity to actually save someone, she takes the chance to do it! 24:52 Death cannot have her, she relinquished her claim over Agatha when she made her previous deal. Death loses everything with this move. Death told them that one of them had to go with her, and since Agatha chose death, Billy gets to go free. Agatha, in choosing death, screwed Death over, since Death is bound by her previous agreement with Agatha. Billy and Agatha got what they wanted, freedom. Death got nothing out of this, and I'm sure it immensely pleased Agatha greatly--you'll recall just a little while ago, Agatha told Death that she gave her nothing. Agatha made Death experience what it feels like to get nothing from a deal that sounds epic on the surface. 26:23 I don't think it's possible to have physical contact with Death like that, but we may never really know. Agatha knew that kiss would kill her, and so did Death. 28:15 I was shocked, angry, and pleased all at once with this reveal--what a twist! The lyrics and the Road were BS, destroying so many theories that could have gone somewhere amazing, but not. Those theories, most of them, vanished as quickly as Agatha's decaying corpse ='( 29:25 Notice how quickly she sensed her master's presence and the fear on her face. Agatha absolutely feared Death, and she did whatever it took to stay in her good graces. 29:43 Agatha's contract was extended to Nicholas too. As long as he fulfilled his mother's obligation, to deliver bodies to Death, he'd be allowed to live beyond his expiration date, which apparently started at birth (was he stillborn?). 31:30 I don't know if she ever really wanted to, but yes, that is exactly what is happening here. Agatha used her child to make every witch they encountered drop their guard. The realization on her face shows at that moment how Nicholas made her job so much easier--this is the truth that Agatha chose to hide: Nicholas led countless witches to their deaths. Nicholas never had a choice, this was the life he was raised to have. Agatha wanted him to live, and she was willing to do whatever it took to make that happen. Had Nicholas known the deal, he likely would have canceled his contract given his character. As he got older and started to understand what they were doing, he questioned their actions. He didn't like what they were doing, and the moment he chose not to go through with killing, Death pulled his contract, reminding Agatha to never keep her waiting. Death believes she did Agatha a sold. I can see why she'd believe that since Agatha should have had any time at all, but Death seems oblivious to the immense power she holds over the living, particularly Agatha. Their relationship was not one of mutual respect or balance; Death made all the choices. 31:44 Yup! She's got a job to do, and Nicholas has to help. 32:31 And here's the truth! She doesn't want to tell Nicholas the truth, but she does, playing it down. Nicholas believes his mother is talking about surviving everyday witches, but she of course is not. Nicholas was fortunate enough to never meet Rio up to this point, and Agatha was determined to make sure he never did. Agatha must kill for her master or Death will come for her. Death is impatient, as we learned in the sound booth when she said as much during Alice's trial. Death would do it herself if she could, but she can't. She's bound by the cosmic rules of the universe, but Agatha is not. She needs Agatha to satisfy her thirst. 33:59 Nicholas inadvertently created a lore that drove witches to his mother for centuries. Even in death is song continued to deliver bodies to Death ='( 34:38 Notice the instant worry on Agatha's face. Deep down she must have known his end was near with this act. 35:45 What's six years to someone who's lived more than 330 years? In the end, it wouldn't have mattered how much time Death gave Nicholas, we all want more time ='( 36:18 I think Agatha got the Darkhold because she wanted to get back at Death, but also to get her son back. She waited and waited for the Scarlet Witch because she needed that power, chaos magick, the power to warp reality. If Wanda could make a reality in which her family could thrive, why couldn't Agatha? For that to happen, however, she'd have to rid herself of Death and that power didn't exist. But maybe now it does? Agatha attacked Death to no avail, but Billy landed both of his attacks! I don't think Death can be killed, but Billy and Wanda likely have the power to keep her at bay. 37:51 The fact that it was BS is so messed up, but it makes for a great story. The ballad gave centuries of witches and the audience so much hope, and just like that Agatha pulls the carpet from under our feet. She's such a witch =P 38:17 Agatha's mother died in 1693. Nicholas was born in 1750. That said, Agatha was killing for death well before Nicholas was born. She had the Darkhold in 1693. I suspect that that is when she started looking for a way out of the contract she got caught up in. 40:51 Not unfinished business, Death cannot collect her! 44:07 Agatha made her son, who was six years old, help kill witches. She knows how bad that sounds, worse still, rather than choosing death and joining him, she chose to live for another 270 years after he had passed. The only person who ever mattered to her was her son, and she couldn't bear the thought of him denouncing her in the afterlife where she would spend eternity with him and everyone else she led to an early death. Yikes! Agatha would rather the world despise her than face her son ='( I hope this isn't the end of the characters we met in this series. I want more MORE time with Alice, Lilia, and Mrs. Davis, damn it! This story was well put together. I'm sad to see it go, but happy that it got a very satisfying ending. I enjoyed your reactions. I hope you guys tune into Daredevil too =)
