Brenda was distraught with what happened and blamed herself, she was already having problems before their son passed away, his passing was the last straw. Yes Bill was distraught too and between them they were miserable with the accident. You may not want to pass judgement when you don’t know someone or the circumstances. Both were good people circumstances on both parties got in the way.

I remember seeing Leslie Ann down for The first Time on the original upstairs downstairs from the 70 s. I thought her And the actress who played the part of Elizabeth Bellamy. Nicola Paget were among the prettiest actresses to be on television gorgeous and then Leslie played on The mini series north and south lovely and of course The Great Helen Hayes And Olivia de Havilland. Amazing that Olivia de Havilland will go on to live till the ripe old age of 104...nearly 40 years after this movie whilst Bill Bixby will die of prostate cancer in 1993. In fact, all the main characters in this movie have died, save for Lesley Ann Down who still looks stunningly beautiful at age 69.

There is a truer to the book Agatha wrote with Julia McKenzie (I think) which I have watched in which she explains why all murderers think “murder is easy” (she explains how they are wrong); I have read the book when I was a teen but don’t recall it.

Another of the stellar cast of this great film has sadly passed away. Timothy West, real-life husband to Prunella Scales [think Sybil Fawlty], whose first wife was the French singer and Eurovision Song Contest winner Jacqueline Boyer, died yesterday, aged 90. He portrays Lord (Gordon) Easterfield in the adaptation. Rest in Peace.

Helen Hayes was there to make this film because an alert aide realized Ms Hayes wasn’t breathing well. The aide brought directly her to our room where I bagged Ms Hayes until anesthesia help arrived. Good work by that aide!

This must be one of the most confusing plots ever put together for an adapted agatha christie movie. I've watched this over and over already but yet couldn't make heads or tails how the dead characters are connected to the story. Nevertheless, i always had fun watching because of the great cast and enjoy watching the chemistry between luke and bridget. Like a flower that grew on a stone wall, very rare. Plus Ms windfrey is beyond reproach so it was bridget as the killer for me till just before the very end.

Love from India. I would have preferred if this film was set in the backdrop of the time when novel was published (1939). This must be an adaptation and an effort to make the story 'new'. Still..I am just beginning to watch. (Later: WATCHED ! WONDERLFUL !🥰😍The same environment!!)
