NGL, i wasn't expecting much from an aoe 4 video, i only clicked because i knew malians had gunpowder stealth units, but i have to say this was very well done, and interesting... A bit of input too, AoE 3 has the dahomey amazons as units, and the cattle thing, still in AoE 3 there are two african civs that use cattle as mechanic, the civs are the Hausa and the Ethiopians... Fulani are even in AoE 3 too... A very enjoyable 22 mins video, congrats!

Bella after you covered all the civs, you could do the campaigns. Would be interesting if you get the historical side of the campaigns. I remember SPirit of the Law doing something similar with Joan of the Arc of AoE 2 but the series was discontinued. Just a suggestion tho. love your content.

Great work! It's a shame that devs still resort to mashing together all of Africa, such as with the Dahomey warrior women in this case, but I guess it's still nice that we at least got an African civ. Here's hoping we see even more! :)

Why is the Ghana empire and the modern Republic of Ghana so geographically separated? I mean are the people of modern day Ghana in anyway connected to that medieval empire.

the old Empire of Ghana is not geographically, ethnically, or in any other way, related to modern Ghana :)

AOE twists history at will. Most stories are not even close to the truth. A great way to mislead people about their heritage and origins. Ultimately the truth.
@BellaCapilla2 ай бұрын
It’s just a game, in the end. They can romanticise historical elements to implement diversity, impact and fun as they wish. It doesn’t make the inspirations behind it any less interesting or insightful 😉
