"good" is an abstract concept. But AOEIV is 100% more realistic game than AOEII, some people may don't care but I love the uniqueness of the civs, always hated that all units look pretty much the same in AOEII and only some stats were different...
@Scout8873 жыл бұрын
@@viktorianas it looks like the "standard units" also look different from culture to culture, the abbasid infantry has turban and curved sword to example, i didnt see if its also the case for archers,spearmen and cavalry, i hope it is. Its just not immersive to play as mongols or abbasids and being able to recruit crossbowmen or heavy cavalry that look european. (afaik, these cultures didnt even use crossbows?) @@annaairahala9462 so they have horse archers?
@annaairahala94623 жыл бұрын
@@adamjohnsonstudio7910 Only 2 civs have a form of horse archers, being Mongols and the Rus. Mongols make sense because they revolutionized horse archery, the Rus also make sense but in way that's harder to describe that isn't as strong as the Mongol's reason. I tried finding information on if the abassids employed horse archers specifically and I haven't found much. It's likely they would have had some at some point, but if they were they were never used much. I did find "Camel archers" were a thing, but they seem to have been more uncommon and it sounds like actual camel archers would dismount before firing. The actual camel melee warfare is fairly accurate though as many in the Arabian area would use camels for the additional height, additional maneuverability, better resistance to the elements, and natural counter to enemy horses, although once again dismounting the camel to fight was also quite common. Later on after aoe4 time period, they would once again see a rise in use for some time because of their fearlessness as they were one of the few animals to not freak out at gunfire. Horse archers weren't exactly the best units like aoe2 might make you believe, so it does make sense to me why not many civs have them. If there would be an inaccuracy I'd point out is that it's probably more realistic to just not even have a camel archer unit, but having camel archers still seems to me like a decent gameplay decision if you also consider how much more inaccurate it would be to give everyone viable horse archers

Why on earth are camel faster than horses on top of everything else ??

what time will it be released in indonesia time zone?

Arabs never used camels in combat.. just in movement, its unrealistic.. Camels speed is maximum 15 miles per hour.. They used it in ancient times way before Abassids but never again.. Why not make unique units such as the duelers(mubarzon), nafatun or even hashashins...

Camels can sprint up to 45 mph
@ashiinsane903 жыл бұрын
@@nicholasmaximus3412 A very short distance, and that speed is not taken into account if there is a rider, if there is, its much slower, still horses can sprint 88 kph for longer periods of time. which makes camel vs horses unrealistic.. Arabs only used camels in combat in very early times way before the army became organized. The only thing a camel is better than a horse if there is no supply for food or water because they can endure for much longer, however horse is way faster there is no comparison. And this maneuverability is huge factor, for example if u are riding a camel you may never catch up to enemy or escape or ambush and many other things..

@@ashiinsane90 the camel is also easier to maintain and more useful outside of sole combat for armies to not use

Why are the camels so much bigger than the horses?

I love the fact that they cannot hunt or gather boars. It's like a small detail that shows the dedication they put in this game. I really hope the game is the next big thing in the RTS scenario...

Camel Archers never lower their arms while shooting arrows and chords snap to their hands. It looks weird.

With this kind of numbers of bonuses, sub bonuses, tree lines and variations.... we should start making bets on which civ is going to be completely broken op 1 week after the game comes out.... we all know it's gonna happen xD

I even know that maybe there should be some detail improved in the gameplay because Halo Wars is top, but I prefer the texture and camera of Age of Empires 2.
