Currently reading The Undying King and I have to say that Arkhan has gone from one of my favorites to my absolute favorite character. Great video!

Despite being loyal to an utter crackpot of a God, Arkhan's easily one of the sanest and most rational people in the Realms. He's also easily the nicest and most honorable of the Mortarchs, but paradoxically, he's also the most manipulative. These contradictions, along with his surprising amount of depth, are what make him such a fun character. In fact, if Settra weren't a thing (still hoping for his triumphant return!), Arkhan would easily be my favorite undead character period. Plus, his dialogue's so full of delicious sarcasm. There's so much potential for him, yet to my eternal frustration, no one besides Josh Reynolds has ever done anything with him.

Always did like Arkhan, though I have started to feel that maybe a couple of the novel righters may be a bit to enamored of him. Still, a cool dude. I do worry about what his OBR fluff implies for the future of the Legions of Nagash book, what with the Legion of Sacrament basically canonically no longer being a thing, with the soldiers ground up to make the Null Myriad's warriors and the leaders sacrificed to provide souls for the Myriad's mortisans. If the Legion of Sacrament doesn't exist anymore, due to Arkhan getting new rules in another book, it seems likely that the same could happen to the legions of Blood and Night when and if a stand alone Soulblight faction ever becomes a thing, at which point I hve to start worrying that the classic horror trope undead army of the Legions of Nagash faction may simply cease to be altogether, with the book and classic range getting discontinued rather than updated going forward.

Yeah like we said before it could be, however the legions do provide the back bone of Nagash’s armies. As for Arkhan, maybe he just takes it as working two jobs at a time lol
