3:50 Everyone can get another race tech tree. All you need to do, is conquer and integrate one city from them. Shakarn can do it via espionage too. Note that AFAIK, Racial units can only be produced from actuall racial cities. The Shakarn might have a override here, but I seriously doubt it. Still, the mods alone make it worth it. Especially since you can get it without having to capture a city of that species. - A second AoE advantage is their limited Regeneration. AoE attacks lack punch vs each single unit. But each single unit that is hit, will recover some HP. The regeneration can eat a enemies AoE or bounce. Of course the rules change, if the enemy is status effect heavy.

I enjoy this game but have a really hard time with the lack of a colorblind mode. I way too often lose track of armies or units because they are so hard to see. Would play much more if I could just see the game better.
