Note at 0:19-30 , AA goes through a psychological purge moment, "I've had these anger issues my entire life". Now look at the last scene when J (in July, 1969 on the beach) observes K talking to young James. This is J's revelation as to why his Dad isn't around. This present scene foreshadows the end. It's been awhile since I've seen this movie, but like if K was killed in the past would J not be apart of the MIB since K wouldn't be alive to recruit him in the 1st movie, wouldn't they be like , who the heck are you random dude and how did you get inside this top secret organization

He was always destined to join MiB thanks to his Father at Cape Canaveral, and then gaining the skills in NYPD… I just assume someone else recruited him and then was neurolyzed.

Well they kind of explained this in this film. That because of the sudden change of things, his existence is in contrast to the now current timeline. Hence he's suffering all these headaches and otherwise, as well as having a craving for chocolate-based dairy items. So while yes he does belong in this current time line because of the new partner, it's clear his existence is conflicting because of the old timeline.

You heard that AA is his new partner ... So probably whoever his previous partner is probably the one who bring him to MIB ...

J is an outstanding detective while being an outstanding athlete and he works in the city with the most Aliens in the world. Him getting recruited was bound to happen.
