Agents of Shield, cutting of the heads

I love this scene, but it's also what infuriates me about Real Shield later in the season. While Real Shield were investigating Coulson, The Toolbox and powered people, Coulson was doing his job. He was saving lives! While they had spies on his team, Coulson killed Whitehall, and then used the vacuum of power to wipe out four more heads. He DEVASTATED Hydra's leadership. Five out six heads dead! How many operations he stopped, how many lives he saved by doing this is incalculable. And then Real Shield have the gall to call him untrustworthy when all they were doing was spying on him.

This is a perfect example of why, despite how good of a man he is, you don't wanna piss off Coulson. In such a short amount of time, he masterminded a plot that wiped out almost all of HYDRA's leadership.

I agree, this was one of SHIELD major victories. With most HYDRA heads out of the way after this episode Strucker and List essentially stood alone and Theta protocol ensured the Avengers took care of them during Age of Ultron. The beginning with the first scene was perfect for background as well because we get to see emotionally-driven Coulson in the wake of Tripp's death. And then we cut into the next scene and the shitstorm he unleashed against HYDRA's top command. Really well done.

Lich Coin Sleep tight. It is already morning here in the Netherlands. On a very boring, pretenious, and political note. The plot of Captain America The Winter Soldier was especially interesting for me, as I had just recenly read the book. Disinformation, about Communist infiltration in the media and how they also spread lies. What is really interesting is that they are he root of all criticisms on Pope Pius XII and the role of the Catholic Church during World War II. I wonder just how shocked Cap was to hear that some call Pius XII Hitler`s Pope. To get even more political, I know from the comics that Cap is a devout Protestant. Odds are pretty big that if he visits his church now that they will be ordaining women and blessing gay marriages. He might just decide to go back to the ice after discovering that. Just got a brilliant idea. Cap should totally start his own political blog. I would surely subscribe.

Someone remind me what Robert Gonzales and the rest of "the REAL S.H.I.E.L.D. were doing at this particular moment in time? Oh yeah, they were sending their three best agents to spy on Coulson's team and putting together a plan to bomb his base and put his agents at risk. Coulson was off-grid with one jet, two agents, Deathlok, and two untrustworthy serial killers, and he still did more to cripple HYDRA than Gonzales did with a military aircraft carrier holding the source of HYDRA's greatest power. I swear to god, Phil Coulson is the only commander at S.H.I.E.L.D. who gets anything done.

That's how you deal with such people. They are to dangerous to be left alive, their testimonies during any lawful lawsuit will put a lot of people in danger not to mention destabilise politics, economies, and society; they need to dissapear. Always felt that Avengers assault on castle was final stroke of shadow war against HYDRA; the only action public would be allowed to learn about. That TV series put a lot of things into correct perspective for me🙂
