The rest were still fine but they were never going to be whole again because of Ward's actions. Sure he could have been redeemed and even come back but the bond was never going to be the same. This even happens in real life where someone in a family will cause a lot of drama and come back later. Things just don't remain the same once someone breaks it. Also Ward was pissed at Mockingbird because he was in a relationship with Kara and wanted revenge for capturing Kara to the point she was tortured.

@arsenal4739 Жыл бұрын
@@abongilezolanipeterson5588 nah, Ward did betray them. He even admitted that he did. You are right that he did his job, however he betrayed the family bond the original gang had. He knew this, and still went ahead with it because of his loyalty to his mentor(forgot his name lol). You’re also correct about Bobby. I think it’s just a matter of perspective, from your POV if you are Hydra and Bobby turns on you and reveals they are working for the enemy, you’d see it as a sort of betrayal even though they were a spy in the first place. If you’re Bobby, you are kind of betraying them since you did swear your loyalty to the group, even though you was working for SHIELD in the first place. Idk, that’s how I see it. Whatever it is though, Ward did still betray the gang and the bond they all had and ruined it.

Coulson told Kora in last season that they see that they been to place where they see Ward as good man and believe he can be that in real world again. That Agent who save them after been teleport really did good in shooting John Garrett. That shows Victoria Hand will have a chance in the real world to help Grant Ward become like he was in the framework.

Even though I hate what Ward did and the reasons he did it, I can't help but respect him for who he is and especially his fighting skills. Just imagine what he could've been if he were an Inhuman or Enhanced with a Serum.
@Sicruett2 жыл бұрын
Yeah. In superhero media I always think about what the super skilled agents like Shield agents or characters like Batman and Robin’s could do with any kind of superpowers. Considering that they’ve been fighting against the super powers as well as they have they’d probably be unstoppable with them. Like if Ward had a serum he’d be on the same level as Captain America or something close to that considering that he was already strong before having a serum.
@rickyk45832 жыл бұрын
@@Sicruett my logic is that Ward's probably on the same level, or near the same level as Crossbones, who fought on par with Cap multiple times. Especially when you take into account that Coulson's initial team was made up of agents who were the best in their respective fields. By that logic, Ward without serum could probably give Cap a fight. Ward with serum would be more dangerous than the Winter Soldier, since he was already a Winter Soldier by training and indoctrination.
@Sicruett2 жыл бұрын
@@rickyk4583 I disagree that Ward would be able to fight Cap without having a serum of his own and Rumlow for that matter. Rumlow + 10 other hydra agents were still easily dispatched by Steve. He’s just as skilled as them but has enhanced physical abilities that they simply can’t compete with. With the serum, Ward would probably be on the same level as Bucky, who is only slightly weaker than Steve.
@Sicruett2 жыл бұрын
@@rickyk4583 despite what I said above though, I can follow your logic there.

@@Sicruett yea I can follow your logic too honestly. It makes sense to me, especially considering no one can be as powerful as Steve as he had the only existing Erskine serum. Bucky and the other Winter Soldiers' were knockoffs, so on that point Ward's maximum level would basiclly be Bucky's.

Grant Ward was definitely one of the best parts of Agents of SHIELD. Got to meet Brett Dalton and he was such a nice, funny, and humble person.
@MagikalKrabical6 ай бұрын
In my opinion, Grant is the best character in the MCU. The writers for this series did alot of risky moves for Ward: Making him the bland lone wolf. The way they redeem it is by making them grow instantly. Sudden plot twist with near-no foreshadowing of it, instantly fixed by explaining the whole thing at once. The actions Ward does clearly has consequences. *Everyone* that was part of the original group hated him to bits and wanted him *dead².* And when Ward regains a spouse, even when not aiming to get rid of attachments, he does it anyway and loses them. Its a surprisingly tragic character who's motive is clear. Not commendable but understandable. Despite all of the misery Ward has caused he still gets his redemption that he does actually deserve. The sad part is that _he_ doesn't even get their redemption, the AI version of him does. He's tragic not just because of the same lesson of not being attached being taught to him throughout all of his life. The life he deserves he doesn't get, but this copy of him that gets deleted too. For Grant, it's only loss. This is MARVEL. The origin of that terrible green abnormality named "SheHulk".

What was so great about Ward as a character was that you thought you got somebody presented as the uptight boy scout who got more and more pressed over time when actually he was an enemy sleeper willing to do whatever he could to make his terrible mentor-who took advantage of his both fragile state and tragic childhood to mold him-happy (with Ward still clearly having morals and feelings of his own despite those things). That betrayal cut so deep with the team that none of them had willingness to try to get to the center of the problem and actually be opened to guiding him in the right direction (deeming his past didn't have an effect on the choices he made now and that he was somebody they'd always thought was beyond saving), but then this all changed not only when he died and their latest enemy took his form; his memories and his experiences on-as well as was enabled to do so because Coulson killed Ward in vengeance, but because they all got forced into a world where their past regrets changed who they were and saw a Ward who got to be a good person because a mentor who cared was there for him instead. In that world, their lives all went wrong while his in turn went right all due to circumstances not character and as a result, things became far less Black and White. * They saw and acknowledged the humanity in the man they could've known rather than the man they did-that it was more than just his actions that defined him-and that did make the difference in being able to process and be able to live with those things. That he got a second chance through a magical program to be able to prove himself to those he let down was an amazing thing and I'll always appreciate and admire it-even though it came way too late and he ultimately didn't stick around (while also getting another chance in another life somewhere else too, so there's that as well).

I was still skeptical until Wards betrayal b/c I had an off feeling about Ward as I was catching up to season 4 at the time on Netflix b/c season 5 was months away from dropping on Netflix but after the Ward reveal. I just could not stop watching this show and I think I ended up getting to the end of season 4 in one week and the framework arc was so damn good which made me even more in love w/ this show and after the frame work and season 4 wrapped on Netflix for me. So happy he didn’t get a redemption arc because that would have disrupted his story. So amazing how the writers show that purpose was something he used to remove himself from his past traumas, but this purpose was what would eventually lead to his downfall once it clashed with the good in him. the way he managed to make me hate his guts is a testament to how great of a character he is. Every time he tried to appeal to the others' emotions I just wanted his nazi ass off my screen, but not because he was bad, because of how good od a character he was.

I feel like too many people make excuses for him. He's a great villain but omg he is such a sociopath! I don't know why I keep seeing people defending him online!

Sociopath might be a bit strong but definitivly a bad guy. I think its mostly people seeing what could have been, had things been different then he might have had a great redemtion ark

I wish they didn’t make him evil, and I wish they didn’t give Sky powers. The show was good when it was regular people with specialized training who could take on the crazy Marvel world

Agreed, I was so mad when i just found out ward was evil…it made me lose interest in the show

Yeah, I think about this a lot. How one person steered him in a direction that could have changed everything. Victory could have help him become what he was in the Framework. I feel like he did so many bad things but he was really truly alone and like an injured cornered animal or something... Trying to grab onto something - in IRL Ward just kept grabbing to dark/evil things until he buried himself. There was no way out. I wished they hadn't made him evil too. Makes me sad!

Miguel Meija Holguin he is arguably the best villain in the MCU, of course you lost interest aftef he passed. Even as HIVE he was killing it.
