I mean in the season premiere of season 5 we see who Enoch was with. It was a group of mercs or some sort of tactical team for hire or something, that he used to help him with the truck and all that to capture our shield team.

It was kind of lame that all we really got for answers as far as who that team was was "just some guys Enoch hired I guess". Seems pretty slim and I kind of question how Enoch managed to put all of that together. Tho especially it annoys me that the device Enoch used to freeze the team only shows up in that episode, 5x05 and then never again when it seems it would have been real useful on a number of occasions.

​@@defrostedrobot77 that device also shows up in the Fitz flashback episode. (Didn't it also show up in a season 1 episode T.R.A.C.K.S.?). Agreed it's a shame it didn't turn up again, but it was too overpowered... almost like a cheat code against people in the vicinity. Imagine using it against Aida, Ruby, Talbot, Izel, Patchaqutik... would have robbed the show off a lot of conflict

​@@pr.kh.r 5x05 is the Fitz flashback episode I was referring to. Don't think it's the same as the thing in 1x13 since it looked different. And I also understand that it could be overpowered but then they probably should have been careful when introducing it in the first place for it not to be a concern.

@defrostedrobot77 I think it was set up kinda vague in season 4, so they could do many different things in season 5. And the thing they do in season 5 with those guys doesn't quite fit, but fot enough so they can tell the story for season 5 they want to tell.

No spoilers.We know from S5 that the future _can_ change, so what they do here is _not_ setting things up for the future they know, like a loop. 21:33 Enoch mentoring Ernest Koenig in the 1930s is not something that "always happened". It's a (small) change to the timeline, though Enoch will presumably try to keep his influence to a minimum. 21:15 Also, 4x12 tells us that the modern-day Koenig brothers are just brothers (presumably identical quadruplets, although that isn't directly stated), not clones or LMDs or anything sci-fi. 28:15 Chronicom Hunters are presumably stronger than human-made LMDs, so Daisy can't just instantly quake them apart.

15:11 since shield was trying to go legit the cloaked guns might not have been approved for some bureaucratic nonsense. Season 5, they had no time. In Season 6, they are in new base and they might not have the schematics for cloaked gun and fitz was in space and literally no time and not useful against the season villains. And season 7 we are back in time and fitz not there yet.

I think the actor for Fitz had like big scheduling conflicts during this season (dont exactly know what else he was filming though), which is why the situation with Fitz and Simmons is at it is right now. Just so you know that there is a reason for Fitz not being here. And he shows up eventually of course, but I would just let him go for now, and just enjoy the episodes for what they are and not wait around and hope each episode for Fitz to show up just to be dissapointed.

You’re right. He was filming another project (maybe The Control Room?) during this season. But they wrote around it. You’ll see what they did later.

He had committed to a couple of shows for Amazon Prime. I think he probably did that thinking season 6 would be the last season and set himself up for another job.

I think if you look at the filming schedules of his other projects, that they didn’t actually clash. It seems pretty clear that he needed time off for other reasons - perhaps even just being homesick.

Jemma not mentioning that there are limited time windows really annoys me. Like even if they aren't gonna know exactly how long they have until a jump, not telling them that these limits exist at all is a pretty big oversight and really should have been mentioned (especially when Yo-Yo was suggesting they stay in the past a while). Not sure what it is about this episode but it feels like there's a bit too much conversation with not a lot of substance. Like drama about whether to change the past is usually more compelling than this.

I get that but from a viewer's perspective, the fact that it wasn't told to the team (and us) made the stakes much higher at the end of the episode.

@@dhabitahpunk Fair enough I guess but if you are raising stakes by having characters make dumb choices (that aren't really justifiable) that's not exactly ideal writing.
