It's nice to see the GC Mega frames get some love in the end. I have a pair of those under my Sway's with 4x60 (Iqon) wheels. And it's such a fun setup to skate park with, very fast and lots of control, just an absolute blast.

Should you buy an aggressive frame if you are a calm and reasonable person?
@kevincollins86203 ай бұрын
Nope. Grab a flat frame. 😂

9:22 now I remember why I bought Salomon. That wide H block split and they were UFS.

I love the Mega so much that I have spares in case they stop selling it ;-) it’s very expensive though. I had no idea the featherlite was the exact same shape.

Love you channel. I live in cape town, south africa and definitely going to buy my skate gear from your shop. Getting back into it again at 54. Thanks for all the helpful information. You really have blessed me with valuable information of how to get up to speed with all technical issues of skates, it's components and safety. Thanks a mil!

Great video, awesome content! If possible, please optimize your video thumbnails for more visibility of the core topic (bigger typography with the main product (frame) in the focus). This also helps you with the overall visibility of the video itself, eventually getting more clicks.

I did actually manage to grind through an h-block on the ground control featherlite 4. my favourite box had extremely sharp ledges, and they cut right through the block in a few months. Did not buy new H-blocks tho :) got some ground control hd72's instead. They are perfect if you think your flat frame is not flat enough, so fast and responsive. I have been fighting to get royales, but that was kind of expected

About your preferences/recommendations for frames in this (original oysi) and in the hi-lo video (100-90-90-100 being broadly "ideal") makes me wonder perhaps your perception is somewhat coloured by the fact you're based in Amsterdam? Yours are a famously tall people (the Germans, too!), so i imagine you fit more people with bigger feet. I'm a skinny bugger with smallish feet (255ish) and personally find even 4x90 toward the long side. As for riding aggressive flat, between my experiences with the kizer slimline and oysi med, i do feel having too large a gap in the middle to be noticably detrimental to manoeuvrability - that gap is a much greater percentage of my foot size than it is of yours, i'd bet. To me it feels like a sort of "luxury" anti, or a midpoint between flat and anti. Definitely gotta be careful catching the oysi groove on the ground too, that nearly took me out even set up on some RB Solos, where you'd think the soul would hit first. I've gotten used to them now i've worn them in but i've definitely got my eye on the new FR collab frame - with its size options, it could be great for a broad range of skaters too. I also personally find Them street frames to be a great flat frame (before Them, i only really skated anti!) due to its width lifting your wheels away as you lean, like the tnec, though perhaps not a great fit if you have a super wide soulplate. Anyways, love your work as always.

The new oysi frame uses 60 front to back . Curious what you think of those.

It is a waste of room available for a wheel. Put the axle 5mm higher and put a 10mm bigger wheen in there and everything will be better. Watch our Hi-Low video to learn more about this
