അഘോരശിവം / യു എ ഖാദർ - depicts the stories of local people living around Pandalayani Railway station. The stories are developed through the life of the hero, a school kid - may be Khader himself.
The stories are fully developed when the child becomes an old man and coming back to his hometown after many years.
Born in 1935 to Moidootti Haji, a migrant to the then Burma and Burmese citizen Mamaidi, Khader had returned to Kerala after his mother's death. He resettled at his father's hometown Koyilandy in 1942 following reverse migration from Burma during the second World War.
His novel "Akhora Sivam" won him the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award and Malayattoor Award. He received the Kendriya Sahitya Akademi Award in 2009 for his novella "Thrikkotlur Novellukar." Khader had also written a travelogue, "Ormakalude Pegoda," on his trip to his birthplace Yangon in Myanmar, after 70 years of his migration to Kerala.
A recipient of various honours, including the Sahitya Akademi award, Khader died on 12 December at Kozhikode.
