Finally! After 23 days, I've finally watched it all... I won't mind if you made 1 video per each rewieving day. And more importantly, 1 poll per video. And I want to know if we will see poll's results in a while? Also, I'm on my fucking way to create cursed conlangs for CCC3, CCC4 & CCC5.

So hey, about the 6:18:00 discussion. You probably could consider using a system similar to the one 2B1B has been using for late SoME . He also puts most of what tools he creates and use in the open space for use by others, so it's not impossible it could be used almost as-is given some effort on the technical end to adjust.

4:26:24 "Is anything more cursed than making a language that fundamentally fails at being a language in such a perfect manner?" - Ætérnal, on Goptjaam I'm really glad that the judges and so many other people enjoyed Goptjaam, and I'm honored to be placed 1st in the CCC2. Congrats to the other winners, and I hope everyone had a great time. And of course, a big thank you and lots of respect to ŋə and Ætérnal for sacrificing your sanity for our entertainment :P

Have any plans for creating more cursed languages out of mathematics? (I'd suggest using nonlinear operators to construct the transformation, but, well, I don't hate people that much.)

My suggestion for keeping next year's circus manageable: borrow the 3 blue 1 brown judging system. For context, they run a very large contest called "the summer of math exposition" which involves over 400 videos. To manage judging this, they have two parts of judging. The first is volunteer peer reviewers(ie people from the community or language submitters). They used an algorithm to assign peer reviewer's pairs of videos and each reviewer(community volunteer) judged which video in the pair was "better"(presumably any reviewer could get multiple pairs if they so choose). Then they used the collective answers to these questions to create a "rough ranking" of entries, and used this to select the top n videos. If you want to borrow the idea, you could also use the peer review as a preliminary qualification for categories, allowing you to select a smaller number of videos for each category to judge. Ie, you could select the top 32 videos for the general category, the top 16 "rock" videos, the top 16 "apastiori", and the top 16 that qualified as both to keep next year at 90 videos(max). You can, of course, also choose different numbers to lower that total(ie if you cut everything in half that might fit in one video)

I'm surprised that it was Dondurmaca's syntax that broke Agma and Ætérnal and not the actual mode of communication. Congratulations to everyone who entered! We all broke linguistics together... and we'll do it again should the Circus come back to town!

"This isn't the first line of the bee movie script because it would change once you add the rest of the script." Well, the characters all have different minds, and make different propositions. I believe the Bee movie translated into Goptjaam would have each "utterance" end once a character finishes talking, and another character begins talking... So yes, even if you had more script, that would STILL be the first lines. because Barry speaks next.

Making SKI was certainly an experience. Was the grammar cursed? Not really. Was the phonology cursed? A bit? Was the syntax cursed? Absolutely. I didn’t even get to explaining the names for chemicals being based on the elements and bonds between them. Or that the numbers 0-8 are vocab, but the rest of the numbers have to use church numerals. It was a good time! I’ve only completed part 1 so far, so I need to go back and watch the other two parts. See you next week! This is already giving me ideas for what to enter into the next circus. Congrats to all the other participants!

A language like Goptjam, I imagine would be understandable by Heptapods from Ted Chiang's "Story of Our Lives" who can experience the past present and future all at once. You need that kind of ability to know how the entire utterance will go before it is completed in order to understand it in real time.

Oh also in response to the problem of how you'll do the next contest, since you have a group of creators all available to work together, why not have each of them come up with a different category and judge their own smaller competitions, and just have a rule that you can only enter 1 of them? I feel like that'd seperate all of us out into pretty distinct groups all working on different things which would be both easier to manage and grant more choice of category to the participants! Sorry if I shouldn't be butting in in this lol, though if you did do that I'd absolutely love to create a conlang with a focus on worldbuilding for next year, or at least an artlang. I guess I take my projects a little too seriously to make them completely cursed 😅 P.S. you can even use the results from the conlang census to determine the best categories to split everyone into! It'd make it so much easier for you guys!

It has taken me an entire month to watch these 3 videos. Whenever I wanted to listen to a video while doing something I'd just put on CCC and it's been so long that now I don't know what else to watch. It is incredible that you've managed to record all this. I don't have anything more to say but it actually feels weird leaving such a short comment after watching an entire day's worth of conlangs.

3.6. Suggest your own words! - ɮæɮæŋəæŋæŋɮœɮæœɮŋɪŋæŋ Rules: Only use the letters ɮ æ œ. If it is an interjection, you can use the suffix "ŋɪŋæŋ" to indicate an exclamation mark. If it is a noun, you should end it with ʘ and verbs should end with χ. You can suggest a grammar rule for the language. Do not use 2 of the same vowels followed by each other. They either have to be separated by a consonant, another vowel, or both at the same time. You shall not suggest new letters. Each word will not be confused with the other words that I or other replies mention. The words cannot have a different spelling than the sound.
