Environmentalists = Oh it is not electric, it is a polluter Performance obsessed = It is weak Gadget geeks = There is no touch screen, no navigation, no steering wheel push buttons Fear mongers = There is no autonomous braking, no lane keeping assist, no blind spot monitor Lesson is drive what you love. It never lasted this long if it was all about speed, latest and greatest or unsafe to drive. In terms of the environment manufacturing new cars create pollution and retrofitting to make ICE cars a hybrid or even full electric is possible and companies are making it possible both by kit conversions or custom conversions.

The 65 was the last 32 mpg bug. The 40hp was so good, they kept it for 5 years. She's a beaut!

My mother had a 1962 years ago. The gas mileage she got was 38 at the time in the 1960's. It was better gas mileage than many cars they sell today.
