I love the Weck Jars too. As you know we here in Germany are Canning with them mostly. And your explaining how to use them👍, perfect. A little tini tiny Tip...... You can stack one on the other, it's possible. Till three Jars high. If a Jar has lost its Seal the little Tab at the gasket will point straight or up. Even if you stacked one on the other. The Tab at the gasket will show you the seal.

We love Sloppy Joes, especially the bold variety. I'll have to add some spice but this is a great recipe. Also love the Weck jars. I didn't know the seal was reusable over and over so what a great selling point. I appreciate you using and demonstrating with this for this Canuary. Weren't the old hinge and clamp jars the same premise? Thank you so much!

@Bird72. LOVE those old hinge and clamp jars! I was gifted around 50 of them from my mother-in-law. While I don't can with them, I do use them to store my pantry items in.
@robinmc06282 жыл бұрын
@@susanthornfeldt5947 thank you for sharing that! If used for canning, you would clamp and process with the rubber gasket "seal," correct? I love running across these in antique stores and imagine who used them when they were new. 😌
