Just put 11 pints of sloppy joes in the canner!!!! Makes me smile! Thank you Jesus for people who help us to learn and grow.

I love the Weck Jars too. As you know we here in Germany are Canning with them mostly. And your explaining how to use them👍, perfect. A little tini tiny Tip...... You can stack one on the other, it's possible. Till three Jars high. If a Jar has lost its Seal the little Tab at the gasket will point straight or up. Even if you stacked one on the other. The Tab at the gasket will show you the seal.

Meals in a jar are my favorite. There are days when we are so busy that grabbing a jar of already cooked meal is saving the day.

This is why I love these collaborations. I would have never thought of canning sloppy joe mix. This is so versatile and can be used for many dishes other than sandwiches. Thank you from the bottom of my canner for a great recipe and meal idea.

My husband loves Sloppy Joe's. Steven dad use to make them. Steven and I have been married for almost 33 years, and his dad died 15 years ago. Him and his siblings still talked about their dad's Sloppy Joe's. Thanks for the recipe and the memories of Pop Pop.

Your tutorials are the best! I live alone with a small freezer & canning allows me to make large recipes that I can in small jars. Just right for a single meal! You just gave me a new one to make! Thank You!

We love Sloppy Joes, especially the bold variety. I'll have to add some spice but this is a great recipe. Also love the Weck jars. I didn't know the seal was reusable over and over so what a great selling point. I appreciate you using and demonstrating with this for this Canuary. Weren't the old hinge and clamp jars the same premise? Thank you so much!

@Bird72. LOVE those old hinge and clamp jars! I was gifted around 50 of them from my mother-in-law. While I don't can with them, I do use them to store my pantry items in.

@@susanthornfeldt5947 thank you for sharing that! If used for canning, you would clamp and process with the rubber gasket "seal," correct? I love running across these in antique stores and imagine who used them when they were new. 😌

I am mostly an ingredient canner but I have found the value in canning a few things that are basically meals in a jar. This sloppy Joe mix would fit the bill and your recipe is a lot more like mine the most I've seen most have been I think way too sweet. Thanks for being part of this collab

Fellow empty nester here as well. Pints are what we have most of our homecanned goods in. Usually ingredient can, but excited to try this and have it ready to go!

Just thought I would let you know that I made this sloppy joe recipe and it was fabulous. I have 10 jars canned up and I will keep this on my canning list forever. Thank you for the recipe. The best so far in Canuary 2022!!! IMO

I love sloppy Joe's. My father made the best that I have ever eaten. I wish that I had gotten his recipe. He made his from memory and never wrote it down. When the kids realized that none of us had the recipe, Alzheimer's had already taken his memory. Every time I have sloppy Joe's I remember pop. Thanks for the recipe and the memories.

Hi Mr Smith, thanks for being our taste tester today. I like when the husbands do that because those assessments are so honest. Also if Constance is like me, making something my husband likes is so pleasing to me. My husband likes sloppy joes open faced with dill pickle and fries. Yum! This also looks like a great base for spaghetti sauce. 👩‍🌾👍

OK, the sloppy joes are in the canner right now! Such an easy recipe. It made 8 1/2 pints. I already ate the half pint straight out of the pan; it was too delicious to save for later! This doubles as a Pantry Challenge activity, as I had every ingredient on hand, some preserved from my garden. Feels good to get 6 lbs of ground beef out of the freezer, too!
