On this quick video we see what has been making noise and causing problems on the front right corner of the ranch truck my 1969 highboy we build a couple years ago. Am I in it for the long haul or be out of the shop by the end of the day? Lets find out! Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoy.

This is the kind of video that is most useful to a guy new to these trucks. And it certainly makes me want to find a high boy to wrench on again

It doesn't matter to me if the video is for maintenance items or project trucks, keep them coming....I will watch. Fixing the rattles in that truck could turn into the longest video series yet!!

Great video!! I bet all the extra “brake dust” was the remnants of that spring 😂 that’s a great video

As someone trying to learn how to diagnose problems and fix stuff, I love this style of video. Great work! Can't wait to have my own highboy some day! I've been drooling over the one on BAT right now, but I have to sell my OBS 7.3 so I have the dough for something different.

Really like the Ranch truck, for some reason always thought on those old 4X4’s that you had to take the hub and drum off together to get to the brakes and those tires are cool too, I think you can still get those through Coker tire but they are spendy.

take a grinder and grind off the outter edge of the drum where to shoes ride...and use anti seize on all mating surfaces of the drum..makes taking them off down the road a whole lot easier

Enjoyed this video, like to see the small maintenance jobs. I’ve had the adjusters brake but not spring, so that was new. Would be great to see electric steering conversion & your feed back on unit as i hope to put one on my 67

Thought about it. But it would be overkill for this outfit. The power drums have plenty of stopping power.

Rattle repair video would very much like to see. Videos on repairs similar to this. IE simple stuff...meh not so much. Just my two cents.

It’s good with stuff that shows how to I am getting ready to take a 390 fe apart and rebuild it I think it’s a car engine from 1964 I am going to have take it apart because it set in a shed without a head and intake on it and looks dirty and has some flash rust on it I would think that the cylinder will clean back up but I think it would be good to strip it down and tank it

I like the content and as high as trucks are getting there’s gonna be more people fixing and using these old war horses to work out of. I’ve noticed in my area a lot of bullnose and brick nose trucks jerking trailers around with mini excavators and skid steers behind them working every day. Would like to see anything you do to the old ranch rig. Thanks for sharing.

Matt put a dang jackstand under your trucks when working on them with things like brakes, as you do not want a 3 thousand pound truck falling on you and turning you into a hamburger patty or a cripple.

Absolutely agree! I wasn’t working under it any this time is the only reason there isn’t a stand.

Is the 352/360 & 351m/400 the only engines offered from the factory on highboys? The 352 being only offered in 67 & the 351m/400 being only offered in 77, while all the yrs inbetween the 360 being the only engine offered? From what I know, that is the case. I'm wondering if you know different?

For v8s you are correct! But 300/240 inline 6 were also an option.
