Keul at the end of the video you made the statement " I hope you have found this video helpful". Well sir, indeed I did ! I recent obtained my 1st disc harrow, a used unit missing a couple of blades and with one gang frozen, and another gang appears to have some slack in the discs.Your video is most informative, it's clear and concise, and I appreciate you sharing your knowledge. Job well done. Thank You !

I'm glad that Agri Supply still sells older style parts. Makes me more likely to buy a new harrow from Agri Supply when the old one finally does bite the dust.

Spent a few hours getting one properly tightened this morning. We wound up having to add a spacer on the end because we had reached the of the thread on the axle. The frame is pretty old.

I have an older John Deere 3 point hitch disc harrow and need to replace the discs on the front. What is on there now are round 18 inch diameter blades. I would like to switch to the notched blades to improve cutting. The blade assembly is held with a square nut with a flange bent over to lock the nut. Don't know the axle diameter. Do you offer free shipping to WA state if I buy 10 blades which is what I need to replace the front blades? This disc harrow is great for gardening and levelling ground for the mower to follow later.
@AgriSupplyCo2 жыл бұрын
Good Morning Oby-1, Thanks for reaching out to our team & your patience! Unfortunately even with the knowledge you are cutting running 18" diameter blades, we would need to know the harrow's axel size to determine the correct notched blades. A model number for the harrow would also be handy as we may be able to look up OEM information. If you have a moment to reach out to our Customer Care Team (tech@agrisupply.com) we would be happy to assist you finding the exact blade you need. Have a great day!

Working on mine now. With new parts from agri supply. Mine is good and used. How did you get the bearing bolts out and on? They’re so tight to the next disc? Thanks! Also, how much play should there be on the axle? I have a 1” square axle, bought 1” axle 18” (double punch).
@AgriSupplyCo7 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching & your question! We agree that the bearing bolts can be tough to get out. This video was a little tricky cause we used a newer harrow that had not seen much action yet in the field! We highly suggest a day before you plan to remove your blades or parts, spray down those sections with a good penetrating oil to help lubricate the area you will be working on. Hope this helps! If you have any other specific questions, feel free to reach out to our Customer Care Center at 800.345.0169

I've got a heavy duty disk harrow, with 1-1/8" square axles, and the front two interior axle bearings blew out. Now my axle bearings are round, and I'm having trouble finding replacements, on your website you have square ones, and I am curious if those will be directly replaceable. Thanks.
@AgriSupplyCo2 жыл бұрын
Hello Charles, There are a couple things that we want to recommend here for your equipment. First, do you know the brand and model number of your harrow? Secondly, do you know if the bearing originally sat right on the axle OR was there a round spacer that slid into the bearing? Lastly, as bad as we hate to tell you this - You may need to remove a good bearing and tell us what you see. You can even send our team a picture of it so we can match it up for you with the exact part number you need. Feel free to email us any pictures to tech@agrisupply.com or call us at 1-800-345-0169. We'd be glad to walk you through getting those replaced. Thanks again for reaching out!

Do you have a video on rebuilding a harrow with friction bearrings. I have a lowrey 16-disc but it's only a 4 ft or maybe a 5 ft one of my disc gangs has gotten very loose you can't tighten it any more. It needs a rebuild just not sure what it needs.

Good Morning C Ericson, Appreciate you reaching out! At the moment this is the only parts replacement video we have for the harrow. We've sent your question over to our techs to see if they can provide any feedback on the issue your having with your disc harrow. If you'd like to reach out to our team in the meantime, feel free to call us at 800-345-0169 and let's see if we can troubleshoot a few options for you. Thanks!

@@AgriSupplyCo I appreciate it I proof read my comment it's disc gangs obviously not games , it's always a left front set of discs that seem to get loose there's not enough thread on the shaft to tighten so I assume something is bad either bearing or what I don't know I know I replace something on it a couple years ago I just can't remember what. Thanks again.

@@cericson3426 Not a problem at all! As soon as we get some feedback from our team I'll be sure to reach back out to you here on KZbin. If we don't have an exact solution for you, we will be sure to point you in the right direction. Thanks again for reaching out to us & your patience!

@@cericson3426 Good Morning! Here is what are techs came back with on your harrow question - It sounds like some of the castings have cracked and fragments have fallen off thus making it impossible to fully tighten. There is a chance that the axle has broken also. We would recommend you take that particular gang apart and inspect it closely. We do carry most of those parts in-stock and can provide you an info sheet at your request! Feel free to email our team at tech@agrisupply.com. If you do not find any damaged parts or this doesn't help you, let us know via email or by a quick phone call so we can try to help troubleshoot your issue. Hope this is helpful, thanks again for reaching out!

Replacing discs on Bush Hog model 145 disc harrow
@AgriSupplyCo2 жыл бұрын
Hello Deryl, Thank you for watching & reaching out! The Bush Hog® Model 145 is a large offset harrow, and would be just right for those tough jobs. Fortunately, we have a selection of blades to choose from that would be good for this particular harrow. It would be a larger diameter and a good thick blade. After checking with our techs, we see the axle size is 1-1/4 inches square - However, we cannot locate the appropriate blade diameter size or thickness. Our assumption would be that it is at least 22 inches and possibly a 24 or even 26-inch diameter for this model. If you measured what you have now and estimated how much is worn off from its original size, we would be glad to help you order a new set of blades. We would also need to know the blade thickness. You can check out our selection of Notched Disc Blades here: www.agrisupply.com/disc-blades/c/9900099/ OR Give us a call at (800)345-0169 or email us at tech@agrisupply.com. We hope this is helpful and look forward to speaking to you!
