This is gonna be long comment. I hope you will read it "Show me the money", which he mentioned, is a rap TV show, where rappers compete together. This show is pretty fake and some rappers gain recognition from it. That is why in the lyrics Yoongi is saying that he doesn't need it, he became successful without this show The concert that he is talking about, when he hid in the bathroom, is the concert that BTS had to cancel because Yoongi was having serious panic attack He mentioned word "han", which wasn't translated. It is interesting. The next info is from doolset: "Han is a mix of sorrow, nostalgia, anger, pain, and hope. It’s the emotional journey and state of mind of someone who has been gravely wronged but is powerless (made powerless) in society to take revenge but decides eventually to cling to the hope of a better future when you overcome your Han" The censored part is actually saying "Have you ever..." probably implying suicide attempt/self-harm Also "trying to sleep on bathroom's floor" seems to be a metaphor for suicide Part about crushed shoulder is about that time when he got into a car incident during his delivery job and severely injured his shoulder. He was afraid that his label kick him out if they found out about that because it was in 2012 and he was already a member of BTS, so he didn't tell anyone and continued to train with a crushed shoulder. It could never heal proprely and since that time, for 8 years he was suffering from pain until last year he got surgery In conclusion Yoongi is very strong person and inspires a lot of people

In his latest Vlive he mentioned that he's still struggling with his shoulder and receives physical therapy at the hospital. Also, his knee is now causing trouble. 🤦‍♀️ So I can't help but wonder how much pain does he actually feel whenever he performs? 😢

When Suga rapped "the doctor asked me", there's a long beep after that. It is speculated that the doctor asked him if he ever thought about self harm (this is a topic not talked about openly in Korea, probably because of how sensitive it is and also because it is frowned upon so ig that's why Suga decided to beep that question) and he replied i have ("I answered without any hesitation that I have"). Someone mentioned how that long beep sounds like a heart rate monitor. That's the sound it makes when a person's heart beat stops implying that he probably took some steps which could have been life threatening. "Those days I wish I could erase Right, that performance day Which I don’t remember very well The day I confronted myself When I hid inside the bathroom Because I was scared of people" I think here he's talking about their concert in Kobe Japan in dec 2015. The concert was suddenly suspended because Suga and V were sick and taken to the hospital (acc. to their company). 30mins after the show was supposed to start, rest 5 members came on the stage and broke down this news to the audience. Suga later wrote a letter to ARMYs where he said he was working on his mixtape (his first mixtape - Agust D, The last is the 7th song on this mixtape). He said he wasn't able to sleep peacefully after that day and cried a lot. During his break he revisited Kobe because he didn't wanted to take all the love he received for granted and because he felt bad for hurting the people who love him. After this mixtape came out many armys went back to his letter and speculated that the reason Suga didn't perform wasn't because he was feeling nauseous as stated by BigHit but maybe because he probably suffered an anxiety attack after seeing the huge crowd and ran towards the bathroom and cried in there (remember this is just a speculation. We still don't know what went on behind the stage). He did say he wanted to go up on stage and perform no matter what but the staff stopped him because he needed a break and they didn't want to push him. If you wanna know about this incident in detail you can refer to this thread - twitter.com/BTS_ARMY_INT/status/1039946297581686787?s=19 Other armys have already explained the shoulder injury part so i'll leave that. We found out about his 2012 accident in 2016 when they released their documentary series Burn The Stage. This further shows that BTS are very private with their life and there's a lot more we still don't know about them. Suga addressed the mental health issues in their rolling stone cover recently. He said "I’m comfortable now and feeling good, but those sorts of negative emotions come and go. It may come back in a cycle over a year, year and a half like cold weather. I think, for anybody, these emotions are not something that need to be hidden. They need to be discussed and expressed. Whatever emotions that I may be feeling, I’m always ready to express them now, as I was before." In their cover of Esquire Suga said, "People’s conditions vary day by day. Sometimes you’re in a good condition; sometimes you aren’t. Based on that, you get an idea of your physical health. That same thing applies mentally. Some days you’re in a good state; sometimes you’re not. Many pretend to be okay, saying that they’re not ‘weak,’ as if that would make you a weak person. I don’t think that’s right. People won’t say you’re a weak person if your physical condition is not that good. It should be the same for the mental condition as well. Society should be more understanding." In the same interview he also talked about toxic masculinity. He said, “There is this culture where masculinity is defined by certain emotions, characteristics. I’m not fond of these expressions.”

SUGA is the most vocal about issues in our society. He was always open about mental health, not only in music, but in life as well. He is not afraid to talk about important topics on interviews and he is usually the one who answers diffucult questions. And speaking of mental health, he is using his own experience to help other people who is going through the same. He is studying psychoanalysis to professionally help people

During his trainee period Suga met with an accident when he worked as a part time delivery boy and crushed his shoulder. He hid that from the agency and worked hard with his broken shoulder for almost 8-9 years. He went under a surgery only on last December. These are all the reasons why Army respect him..not only him each and every one of them. All of them went through some really bad shit but they never stop and come up through all odds.Thats they are the inspiration for their fandom.

There are several pieces Suga does that are pure art and emotion like this in a way you rarely hear. He absolutely purges his pain and makes it easier for others to feel like someone understands. He is a very strong advocate for mental health, this topic is even more taboo in Korea so consider his bravery there is even a magnitude more. Many of his songs hit like this, First Love makes me cry because it’s just as raw.

Yoongi ended up as my bias (completely wrecked on a daily basis by the other 6, though) because of the emotions he puts into his songs and The Last hit close to home. I finally figured out that he was the ONE within the group who made me cry the most with his solo works either as Agust D or Suga from BTS. Seeing First Love during BangBangCon was for me a... mess. It broke my heart into pieces just knowing how hard he struggled to overcome the stigma about mental health. Now we see him smiling all of the time and finally being able to work toward living life pain free in regards to his shoulder. This man didn't allow his mental health to define him and I hope anyone who might read this won't either. This comment is already super long but this is something straight from an interview Yoongi did and it's important. “People’s conditions vary day by day. Sometimes you’re in a good condition; sometimes you aren’t. Based on that, you get an idea of your physical health,” Suga went on to explain. “That same thing applies mentally. Society should be more understanding.”

This is why I have so much respect for Suga and BTS. They address so many deep topics that are not generally discussed. They help so many people with their raw and honest lyrics. Hearing their personal stories and struggles combined with their successes give so many people strength and hope in their lives. Their music goes so far beyond their insane arrangements and beats, or amazing rap or vocal skills. Their lyrics and messages are so powerful and I truly think that's why BTS is dominating the game right now. No matter what message or what genre they kill everything they do because they put their heart and soul into it. That's why ARMYs are so passionate and protective of the group.

I found that a lot of Suga stans are in fact quite like him. He became kind of a representative of all of us introverts and emotionally challenged people. He put himself out there for everyone to see, it's catharsistic and soothing. Besides his profound lyrics, Yoongi is mainly a musician and producer. He's responsable for a lot of the best melodies of BTS and it's for me his main contribution to the group.🌟💛🌟

Yoongi has been through a lot, I admire his emotional maturity so much and the fact that he isn't afraid to share it with us. Yoongi got a delivery job while he was a trainee at BigHit, even though it was against the rules. While working that job he was hit by a car, it did serious damage to his shoulder. Do to their schedule he was never able to get it properly taken care of, so he pushed through the pain of every performance, for 7-8 years, never wanting us to see he was hurting. It got to the point that couldn't even hold his mic up with that arm. During the pandemic he was finally able to get the surgery he needed, you can tell how much better he feels now and how he can perform without pain. So while I hate that the world is suffering from this pandemic, I am thankful Yoongi was able to do what he needed to do to feel better.

I’m glad that this song is so well explained in the comments by other armys, so I’ll just tell you my story with it. I came across this beautiful song during an active suicide attempt of mine. It was when his mixtape was first released, and I knew about it but haven’t yet checked it out, because of all the things that were happening in my life. I was very suicidal at that time, and that night in particular was very hard, I tried to distract my self somehow, and decided to listen to his mixtape, to this day that mixtape has some of my favorite songs, but when this song played, I just burst into tears and kept replaying it over and over all night long. I cant explain the feeling I had listening to it, it just felt like someone took what it sounded like in my brain and put it in a song. I cried to it all night until I passed out from exhaustion. It feels like he saved me without him realizing, and I somehow feel emotionally connected to him. Life hasn’t been that easier since, but with the amount of joy they bring me, I’m living life looking forward to the moment I can sing with him the second part and say that we both made it.

I believe both Suga and Taehyung(V from vocal line) confirmed that writing songs is therapeutic for them. If you d like another song about mental health, Taehyung´s Blue & Grey(with lyrics) is very differnet (as its not rap, but more of a ballad), but still has a very much similar feel of the artist opening up about their mental health...which honestly is really brave from them. To give some background in case you decide to react to that song - Tahyung went through a lot of loss in personal life in the past few years (both his gradparents have passed and his friend commited suicide), we all could see the change in his personality and energy, but it does feel like writing this song helped him a lot as he looks a lot happier recently. He said he wrote this song to normalize talking about mental health issues.

The first time I ever heard this song I was sobbing by the end. I didn't even know the lyrics yet but I could feel the desperation and pain in his delivery. I'll always feel very honored that Yoongi felt he was able to share this part of himself with us.

Man, I respect your respect for this song and your wise thoughts. This song is my anthem in my hard moments as it helps me a lot and from what I read, this song helped a lot of people around the world. This is when an artist becomes a human that can reach so many souls from his story and give strength through his vulnerability. I will always respect him for this song.

I think sugas commitment to helping others feel like what they’re going through they don’t have to do alone… and there’s always a way. Mental health doesn’t care how much money and fame you have. Being famous doesn’t automatically turn your life into bliss. Very one has problems.. and I appreciate him laying himself bare to hopefully be able to connect to people… hopefully save lives with inspiration… this guy is class… I’m really thankful he exists… and has found another way to turn his pain around… by sharing it with those who may need to hear it. Take care of yourself my dude… hope you’re doing good and back on the grind or whatever you’ve got going on… take care 💜

Yes. This song hits hard. It's so raw. So emotional. His gift, in my view, is to share those emotions, those thoughts, in a way that touches you at your core. With music and expressive rap that makes you cry even when you don't understand the words. It hurts so much. But it's cleansing as well. You feel less alone. And more than anything, you feel. For the first time in a long time, perhaps, you feel. And it's hard. But it's beautiful as well.

Story time: there was a time that he couldn’t go on stage bc of his social phobia. He felt so so bad about it. He later wrote a letter to ARMY. I appreciate his honesty so so much. I think there is a weird expectation that showing emotion is weak. But in reality it takes so much courage to face it head on.

The Last is that song that just hits so hard for me as well. For me I had spent many years trying to "fake it till you make it" that was me dealing with my mental health. There was a point were I was very Apathetic to a lot of things. I was trying so hard to live up to others expectations of who I was supposed to be what I was supposed to accomplished. And on the inside I was slowly killing myself, if I ever slightly messed up in some aspect of my academic or social interactions. I would end up meeting my parents criticism of "why aren't you more like that person, why can't you be more outgoing, more cheerful, why can't you seem to make friends easily like so and so. " Those words hurt but I had to suck it up and deal with It or so I told myself. I hated it. When I first listened to this song, I bawled my eyes out because, I saw myself my broken and tired self who was struggling to stay a float. Who was living as if I was already dead. This songs has such a strong place in my heart, and I will be forever grateful to Min Yoongi, for expressing himself. 💜

I just want to share this story from someone who went to that concert...every time I read that...it breaks my heart into a pieces...so here we go... so, i hate talking about this because it was one of the most upsetting and scary moments of my time being an ARMY, but, let's take a trip to December 27, 2015, BTS is in Kobe Japan for a 2 day concert.... suddenly we start getting negative updates from ARMYs attending the concert they started telling us that the concert hadn't even started yet, the boys weren't coming out, they kept delaying the concert, this wasn't normal, cause Japanese concerts are very very well organized and punctual...about 20-30 minutes after the time the show was supposed to start Five of the boys came out on stage, Namjoon, seokjin, jungkook, hoseok, and jimin...no Taehyung, no Yoongi...the audience was very confused, some started shouting, then joon announced that the concert had been suspended...he apologized, they could not show the stage performance Level they wanted to with only five members present....shortly after, the crowd heard hold me tight playing the lights dimmed...the boys weren't moving as they performed...the crowd didn't move...everyone was in shock... yoongi's recorded part played through the speakers then, they sang let me know...once again, no movement, yoongi's recorded part plays...then the lights come back, and Joon explains that yoongi and Taehyung are at the hospital, that they didn't feel well during practice, the crowd started crying, sobbing, Joon asked everyone toKeep yoongi and Tae in their thoughts, then the five members performed I need u Japanese version, dancing without tae or yoongi, people were bawling...after the song, the 5 members left the stage & bighit staff came out to tell the crowd to go to the official site for refunds We were panicking...we had so many thoughts, people were already getting pissed at the company for overloading the boys with concerts and events, they were convinced the boys weren't eating enough, they were angry that bighit could even let the five members come on stageMany fans had seen jungkook, seokjin, and jimin crying while they performed those three songs...it was chaosIt wasn't until a month later, January 10, 2016 that yoongi wrote us a very long thread on Twitter revealing his feelings of failure cause of his not being able to perform at Kobe, it really hurt us, seeing the turmoil yoongi had been going through the entire time, alone When his mixtape came out, alot of fans made the guess that yoongi might've actually been in the building the entire time of that very very short concert in Kobe okay so this was an army explanation not mine so thank you that is the link to her Twitter twitter.com/bts_army_int/status/1039946297581686787?s=21 and these are the videos of the concert kzbin.info/www/bejne/fnndioWars2Lnqs kzbin.info/www/bejne/fpeQeKBpZquVr9k

That's exactly one of the biggest things that makes bangtan special! They're always keeping it real! They make sure to remind us they're ones of us! where, are and always will be! They're always relatable, in literally everything! They became our therapists, family, savoirs! That's why we devote ourselves to help them get to the top of the top of the world! Cause they're our voice, the young generation suffering and pain, they're the ones who show the world who we truly are, and what we're capable of doing! We adore them! And we owe them a lot! 😔✋🏻💜
