In fact, Italy is pretty good at making helicopters, in large part thanks to a company called Agusta.

The same 60 mangusta, under the Italian army, served in Somalia, Yugoslavia, Iraq, and Afghanistan...and they are still flying after almost 30 years...in Afghanistan they flew for over 20k hours, they got shot many times always came back home...compare it with the Franco/German Tiger who had to be taken away from Afghanistan.

The German tech tree is an actual joke of slow tanks that get one tapped by everyone with more than two braincells. There are shortcomings on the T-129 ATAK. There are many differences between the T-129 and the A-129, the priority being the engines and thermal cameras. A-129 thermal cameras' zooms are very bad, plus it cannot be determined whether it is an enemy or a friendly tank, and the image clarity is very bad. Hellfires are nice, but things change when they hit a friendly tank. T-129 ATAK thermal cameras have a clean and clear image, plus the zoom is very nice and you can distinguish which type of tank it is. L-UMTAS rockets are slow, not only L-UMTAS, but also "UMTAS" rockets were made. CİRİT also does tank hunting with L-UMTAS. True, "UMTAS" Rockets were also developed. This War Thunder game has its shortcomings. Let's come to the engines The A-129 has double engines and even though it has all its load, it dies due to damage to one engine, but the single engine cannot carry you, even if you throw off the load, the engine drowns and pulls you down, so this is the worst aspect of the A-129! T-129 ATAK is double engine and brand new. Imagine that you are carrying the whole load. You have a double engine and your single engine was damaged and died. This carries you with a single engine, whether you go back or continue fighting. Therefore, if I cannot get a clear image, that vehicle is a museum to me. That's why I prefer the T-129 ATAK, but it is much improved on this vehicle. There are many shortcomings in this game. T-129 ATAK has been developed as Phase 2, RWR receiver has been increased, weapon mechanics have been improved, camera pod has been improved. Lol...also it's not the ATAS on the T-129. :) It's the Stinger, I can't help but notice that you change ATAK's Stinger a lot in this game. ;) By the way, the movements that can be done on the T-129, that is, the maneuvers, cannot be done on the A-129, even if all modifications are enabled.

A129 is the best attack helicopter on 10.0 Most of the time I get at least 4 kills with its Hellfire missles and the Mistral air to air missile in combination with the maschien cannon and IRCM makes you win most fights against other aircraft especially jets. Sadly there will be most likely no better version, until very long range atgms for attack helicopter enter the game. Because the next better atgm for this helicopter would be Spike ER2 with 16km range when shot from an helicopter

​@@bornonthebattlefront4883It is "just" Italy. Although they massively improved the ground tree over the last years with better rounds for ariete, Dardo, Freccia and now Hungary. The gaps are slowly getting fiilled. Additionally the top tier part of the the air tree got improved as well. But sadly it lacks better top tier aa, Centauro B2 (fast, wheeled tank destroyers where the main reason I started Italy after completing Germany) and more Helicopter, although they added Hungarian ones, but that are pretty bad to be honest. They are to big and heavy

BR of Italian/Hungarian helicopters is very wrong. WHY Soviet made helicopters in Hungary that have same equipment as the Soviets and East Germany are 0.3 BR lower? For A-129 it's equipment is similar to most NATO helicopters at 10.3/10.7, so why you don't make A-129 10.3/10.7, while Mi-24 remain 10.0 ?

If you heli rush in tank rb you can secure 1-2 kills which will add up over time. It's at 7.7 br so unless you have tanks higher, it's at a good br to rush

the ab205 in pve helicopter it's actually pretty good once you unlock most of the stuff , cause with the 2 minigun you can get on the kills against the anti tank rifles and you can pen the top of the amx's, while the rockets are aligned perfectely if you exercise a bit you can actually snipe the more armored vehicles on their weakspots, it's also pretty fast compared to aloutte and most of the helicopters in fact it can be outran only from the mi24

Once upon a time I'd have suggested buying the relevant attack helicopter of your selected tech tree and using it. Now that you can unlock helicopters by using your tanks, I very much recommend that instead. I'd personally suggest skipping the Italian starter heli. It's armament is very limiting. Using the multifunctional menu (I think default keybind is 'Y') enable manual roll control and learn to fly like this. It will stop the helicopter from countering lateral drift, which you can use to present a more difficult target. Any heli that has rocket CCIP, I suggest flying that out first in battles as you'll meet fewer SPAA. Try to intercept vehicles sprinting for further objectives so you meet less defensive fire. I find this is generally the best way to unlock early modules. Don't be stingy with your ammo; channel your inner pigeon by flying in, shitting on something nice and leaving before people can retaliate effectively. Bind a key to select ripple quantity, so you can discharge volleys of rockets per trigger use or continuous discharge. Figure out what you're most comfortable using. Once you have the option to bring ATGMs, remember that range is your friend - be careful not to drift close to the fighting. I could probably think of more but it's 2am here and I'm knackered. Good luck.
