Hi Victoria, your videos really help me can you please cover the vowel “Ay” as well. I watched all the vowels video and I’m practicing but “Ay” is the hardest for me as well as Ah. I have a breathy tone there in both. Please do a video on Ay vowel. It’d be really helpful 😅🤍

On the low end of my chest range, "AH" is actually one of the easiest for me (I can drop to F1 without a problem; can even use Strohbass or subharmonics to use it down to C1, actually). Now, at the top of my head voice (C#5), nope, it ain't happening. And definitely not happening in my falsetto that normally extends to G#5.

i have been looking for tutorials about this vowel. it has been my problem since i started practicing. i thought it was weird of me that of all vowels, i find this one really hard to sustain. thank you for sharing your knowledge, i have been watching a lot of your videos and i really enjoyed doing so. but i got one question, why does "ah" vowel becomes hard to sustain especially when I try to put vibrato on it?

Without hearing and seeing you, I say check your tongue position first, then check if you are letting out too much air..

Yes, I find A vowel difficult especially in high notes.

AH vowel is my hardest vowel by far. My favorite is EE and OH vowel. AH vowel is usually accompanied with some tongue tension. My support, placement, mouth and throat shape is much better on other vowels. AH vowel is still really hard to fix for me.

The whole process is generally around 15 min - listening and watching the video, repeating sections as necessary, formulating my analysis and recommendations, and making the video (which is usually up to 5 min long).

Hi Vic, new fan. I was wondering if you had any videos on what it means when my throat stars to hurt while singing? I know it means im singing poorly, but i cant identify anything wrong with my technique personally. Does it mean my larynx is improving or does it mean i should stop? Does this have anything to do with singing from the larynx rather than from the diaphragm?

If your throat starts to hurt, stop. Throat tension can be due to many things like a tight tongue, tight jaw, locking your breath, etc. You might start with my 2 videos on the tight throat and move on to others: Tight throat?
