Anakin was fed up with Ahsoka he was was like. You want want Vader, I’ll give you Vader. 😂 and yeah I love the flashback to the Clone Wars to one of their first missions where she disobeyed Anakin and jumped into the siege of Mandalor. I always wanted a live action Clone Wars Era show, without messing with the original SAMURAI JACK animated one where General Grievous was a beast and explained a lot that led to Revenge of the Sith, or the CGI Clone Wars which I grew to love.

In my opinion, this episode was therapy for Ahsoka. For so long she, like Obi Wan, blamed herself for her master’s downfall and turn to the dark side. Seeing his projection automatically turned her back into that innocent girl we knew throughout Clone Wars. And having to see everything again and relive some of that trauma during this episode is definitely a way of her getting closure. She finally sees her master again, not as Vader like their last encounter. But as the person she knew, his true self Anakin Skywalker. By this point, she knows he redeemed himself thanks to Luke, we just haven’t seen that part.

I literally got chills when Jacen was using the Force instinctively and a variation of the Force Theme swells up in the background, that doesn't happen all too often with Disney Star Wars. Seeing Anakin in his stages from "good" Anakin, Darth Anakin and flashes of Darth Vader ( how cool was that???) was just amazing but also how he figuratively kicks Ahsoka in the butt to get over herself and start living again, to have the confidence that she canbe a teacher and Jedi and doesn't have to be just the warrior. Ahsoka accepting this and rejecting the temptation ( did you notice the moment where she nearly gives into her anger and her eyes flash briefly to Sith Red?) by throwing away the Lightsaber Luke style and completing her training. She's a full blown Jedi now and ready to be a true Master to Sabine.

Regarding Sabine's decision to hand over the orb, I think it makes perfect sense; especially for a seasoned veteran like her. Destroying the orb means completely ending any chance of finding Ezra. Handing the orb over only just brings the Morgan and her team one step closer towards bringing Thrawn back. As Sabine knows, the bad guys make small steps towards their goal all the time. Yet, she and the others have always managed to find a way to wrest victory from the jaws of defeat. It would make less sense for Sabine to be so completely unwilling to take any risk when it means completely abandoning people she cares about.

On my 10th birthday in 1977, Star wars had been out for a while. My favorite uncle, he was the best, took me to see Star wars. Every single time I see Lucas film glisten across the screen. It takes me back to 10 years old with Quran. He was gone way too soon. I have always been a sensitive guy, and I cry a little easier than I should. You cry at all the right spots, don't be ashamed of that, I'm not either. It's what makes us human. When I was watching the end of your reaction, and you were talking about how great Hayden's role has been in this so far, I agreed and I was thinking literally and he finally has well written dialogue. I'm not a hater on George Lucas, but he's not a master of dialogue. He is a master of the universe he created. I wish he had better writers working alongside him because that's the one thing. Have been absolutely killing it at, mandalorian, boba Fett, Obi-Wan and now ahsoka. The dialogue and the vision has been extraordinary. It has the feel of the original trilogy with a little extra on the dialogue sauce. I'm happy for Hayden as well, he got far too much grief for the original trilogy which had its flaws. None of which were Hayden. Since surviving COVID 3 years ago, I can't control my tears. Sometimes. I cry a dumb commercial sometimes and I don't even know why. But I happily let the tears flow when things inspire me or move me. And getting to experience Star wars like I'm 10 again is nothing short of extraordinary. Also loving Battlestar which came out when I was 11. The reboot was how I saw it as a kid. I didn't realize how ridiculous and cheesy the original series was, thank you for providing some entertainment to me as I continue to fight to recover. You are awesome and I love seeing it through your eyes. The good news is we still have half the season left.

In this episode Anakin teaches Ahsoka how to live, not just survive. Essentially, her character arc in this show revolves around how she had ceased to embrace life fully. In the initial episode, Sabine highlights her likely loneliness. Due to the trauma she's endured, the burden of guilt she carries, and her self-doubt stemming from Anakin's transformation, she has distanced herself from others. Ahsoka has effectively halted her genuine living and allowed her past to shape her identity. Baylan's accusation of her leaving behind a legacy of death and destruction strikes a chord with Ahsoka, as she was once a child soldier and may feel that combat is her sole purpose (as evidenced by her conversation with Anakin in this episode). Anakin reassures her that she's more than that, just as he's more than just Vader. Ahsoka must make the choice to continue living in the present and move forward.

Hopefully, this show can attract more fans to the animated series. Clone Wars, Rebels, & Bad Batch- while at times, sure, they can be hit or miss- but they have some of my all-time favorite moments in all of Star Wars. Obi-Wan & Maul on Tatooine. Kanan on the fuel depot. Crosshair & Mayday. Ahsoka leaving Anakin & the Order. Ahsoka & Rex... I mean, when they hit, they hit hard & full & deep.

This episode was amazing seeing young Ahsoka live action and the battle between Anakin, and love seeing Ahsoka The White. Shes now allegiance to the Force, reflecting her journey and brushes with death. a fun fact .... Ariana Greenblatt who played young Ahsoka in this episode also played young Gamora in "Avengers: Infinity War. Keep up the amazing work.

This is why we need more people who love the Star Wars world actually be involved with the show. Dave Filoni needs to continue being part of the live adaptations and not just the animations. This is what we want. Good character development so when we come to moments like these we are screaming with excitement because we know what it means.

This was the best lightsaber fight... First peak Anakin vs Ahsoka, then Snips with the green lightsaber back in the Clone Wars, then the Siege of Mandaslore, and finally... AnaVader vs Ahsoka in the world between worlds. That final fight was so perfect with Anakin/Vader fighting with Anakin's full agility and skill along with Vader's ferocity and power being Ahsoka's final Jedi challenge. So perfect!

There is nothing more magical than the "Binary sunset" Seeing a younger Ahsoka brought a flood of fond memories from her introduction to this universe. Before this series started the only thing about the live action version of her that didn't go over well with me was the deepness of her voice. I accepted it anyways. With this episode, a younger version, with a closer voice tone that Ashley Eckstein gave us, I'm now totally content with everything about her. A wonderful reaction, Angela!! Take care!!

I was blown away by this Episode 5 of Ahsoka. It left me completely speechless. I can’t wait to see what happens on Tuesday. This episode left me with the same feeling I had when I watched Revenge Of The Sith for the first time in 2005. I also was so happy to see Hayden Christensen really be able to act his heart out as Anakin. He was so naturalistic and charismatic in the episode. He brought so much nuance and depth to his line delivery. It felt like major redemption for him after years of many people complaining he was stiff and wooden as Anakin, he was a bad actor and ruined Star Wars. I’ve never agreed with that. He blew me away for years with his excellent acting performances in Life As A House And Shattered Glass, not to mention the TV show he starred in: Higher Ground. Everytime I rewatch these all I’m still amazed at his talent and intensity as an actor

So far they seem allergic to referencing events in Rebels directly. They hadn't even mentioned Kanan's *name* until this episode. They didn't even bring him up in regards to Sabine's initial lightsaber training. No references to Zeb. No references to modern-day Rex. No references to the fact that Ezra saved Ahsoka in the World Between Worlds. Not even saying I want the show to be about those characters, it's Ahsoka's show, but to not reference them at all is weird. I'm enjoying the show a lot, don't get me wrong, but there's still kind of a weird Rebels-shaped hole in a show that was touted as 'Rebels Season 5'.
@zeroskaterz92
@zeroskaterz92 10 ай бұрын
@@atomictao What are you even talking about? There's literally a load of reference to Rebels throughout the show. Even this episode is pretty much a continuation of Rebels Season 2 finale with Ahsoka refused to leave Anakin (Vader) and him told her that she will die. You clearly don't know what you're talking about.

@@atomictaohera and jacen were barely in the show until this episode and until then only interacted with people who knew kanan was the father. Rex and zeb won't appear in the present day of the show, so except for easter egg purposes, why would they refer to them? What do you want the show to be? A star wars sitcom where all they do is sit around, referencing other smcharacters? "Oh and what's rex up to these days? You know, the clone trooper who served under my master anakin who if you didn't know was the chosen one, the clone who followed me on mandalore and who by the way I'm super friends with" "oh, he is on malachor with zeb and agent kallus, you know the one who betrayed the empire for us, they are looking for the remnants of ezra's first lightsaber" "talking of lightsabers, did you know that kanan jarrus who by the way is the father of my son was the first person to teach sabine who to fight with one, dhe was pretty awful at it first but got better". That would be super boring, the characters know this stuff happened, we know this stuff happened, we are here for a new story, not to fill our throat with references and nods to previous stories, might as well watch these stories instead if that was the point

I just loved the whole "Master and Apprentice" interaction, that is such a staple in SW jedi canon. Anakin - Ahsoka - Sabine, all defined by the lesson they received by their masters, changed by the life and expiriences they made, to the good and bad. And that young Ahsoka casting was just spot on, she looked liek the animated one.

From ALL the live-action CW's shots they could conceive... The orange-helmet clones coming from the fog with Rex during the Mandalor Siege... THAT hit hard into my heart as was uncalled for. Damn Filoni, he made me shed some tears of pure joy and hope for this amazing series! And not behind it, all the interactions between Ahsoka and Anakin were brilliantly directed and filmed.
