Seen a lot of people saying this, but Sabine DID NOT force push Shin. Sabine made the motion and Shin, being trained by a Jedi like Baylan (who likely used the force against her in spars and trained her to be prepared for that) flinched as a reaction. That’s why she says, “You have no power.” That’s how I saw it at least. Sabine just started trying to move a cup, there ain’t no way she’s gonna be force pushing yet. Also Theory, what form do you think Baylan used during the fights? I was gonna say Djem-So, but it looked like a modified Soresu. Lots of strong counterattacks. Absolutely loved this episode and can’t wait to see more! Edit: Here’s a more interesting theory. Are we gonna see Baylan take an interest in training Sabine in the Dark Side? Remember Yoda says that the Dark Side isn’t more powerful, but quicker, easier and more seductive. If Baylan teaches Sabine, it would cause a rift between Shin and Baylan.

I think Force Ghosts appear as THEY are most comfortable with themselves. It's why Obi-Wan never appears as his Clone Wars younger self. It's why when Luke appeared to Rey he had his mechanical hand. If Kanan appeared to Ezra, he could very well appear as when he was blind, because he was at peace with his blindness. Anakin appearing with his metallic hand vs his real one could signify he's at his most comfortable with that hand. It COULD also mean he's at his most comfortable as his Sith self. After all....He DOES have his hilt from ROTS when he DID become Darth Vader. And to hear Vader's theme at the end....Maybe he's finally at peace with that part of his identity. After all it's always going to be a part of him. OR, orrrr force shenanigans are afoot. I think force shenanigans are afoot, and we could see Ahsoka finally come to grips with the fact that him turning, was NOT her fault, much as she seems to believe otherwise. "What if the right reasons, have the wrong outcome?" she could not bear the fact that her master was Darth Vader. And I think she seriously regrets leaving that day because in her mind, her leaving was the turning point for Anakin. And she wouldn't be alone in that line of thought, as there's a lot of debate on WHEN the point of no return was for Anakin...for me personally...Ahsoka being tossed aside by the Council, was that moment. The way he went SO hard to bat for her, being the ONLY ONE to do so, only for her to leave...it's why on Malachor he had no problem saying "then you will DIE." by that point she was just another traitor to him. To Anakin, not Vader.

Baylan is exactly what I'd expect a Fallen Jedi to be; not deliciously evil like a Sith but cold, calculating and oddly respectful. He has a purpose which you can easily feel in the displeasure he has fighting Ahsoka. He respected her Master, he respects (and fears) her and her power, and like him she's driven by a higher purpose with opposite goals. This wasn't a typical Sith moment trying to pit their skills against a Jedi. I think he has the same goals as Dooku without the wealth and royal pomposity, given they were both let down by what the Jedi Order offered. Baylan does needsto be wary of his apprentice, because they do not share the same endgame.

My theory about who "Anakin" is at the end of this episode is a manifestation of Ahsoka's darkest parts of her psyche. Her guilt, her regrets, her anger at herself for not being there for him. I think Episode 5 is going to focus on Ahsoka needing to come to terms with these feelings and move past them by reconciling with the manifestation of them as he taunts her, like how Cal Kestis's old master did in Fallen Order. Anakin never finished Ahsoka's training, meaning she never faced the final trial; the mirror. The same test Luke failed in the cave on Dagobah in Empire Strikes Back.

The thing that I liked the most is when Ahsoka recognised her master: when she turned saying "Anakin", I saw a lot of happiness in her voice and in her eyes: not the happiness of an apprentice finding her master, but the happiness of a girl who found her older brother. Absolute perfection

Basically a perfect episode tbh. And in addition to everything like the story, the acting, the choreography, the fight scenes etc, the cinamatography was actually one of my biggest highlights. That shot of Sabine's helmet in focus on the flower pedals while sabine and shin fought in the background was breathtaking. Only thing, I feel like Anakin's face looked a little off, and yeah I know technology can only go so far but idk something seemed extra off about it. Also, the only other problem I have with it is that all the other episodes weren't this good, only because we only have like 6 episodes in total and is was so short. Other than that though, 10/10, can't wait for next week, would die for some Clone Wars flashbacks, maybe even some new scenes with Dooku (he's my fave lol)

Quite on the contrary my friend. All this episode has shown are things we already know- primarily that Filoni is actually a rather lazy writer and that Star Wars is unfortunately heading down the same road as Marvel with it being entirely centered around cameos and a multi-verse. @@ALookIntoTheEulenspiegel the big problem with characters nowadays is the writing, the characters being less talkative are also a creation of the writers to suit their personalities, obviously the actors and choreographers play a big role but the writing can ruin everything, like the sequels that had good actors, and good enough choreography, but dog shit writing. When Ahsoka threw Shin into a rock using the Force, Baylan was enraged by it. When Shin force choked Sabine, Baylan ordered her release, and Shin obeyed. That's exactly my point. I'm *hoping* this is the version of Anakin that "died" when he became Vader. That would be incredibly interesting if when you give yourself totally to one side of the force, you literally do split and the discarded part of you stays in the World Between Worlds - which may also be the essence of the Force Itself, connecting all living things. Force users, therefore, being the most potent users are able to project themselves through personification - ie: Ahsoka isn't actually there, but because of her ability in the Force she can project herself directly into that space.
@Warlover1015 Жыл бұрын
With sabine it makes since for her to want to find Ezra after season 4 of Rebels she lost her family and her adopted family split apart, and Ahsoka her master abandoned her because she was attached to people, you also have to remember Sabine has abandonment issues. IMO Sabine sees Ezra ss the only person she's close to who did not abandon her at one point he sacrificed himself to save her and the Ghost crew, he also was the one to help reunite her with her family, help her liberate her home planet, as well as be there when she need someone to talk to when she struggled eith learning how to use the darksaber. Ezra was someone she could trust to have her back in a fight or if she needed someone to talk to. Her family is dead, Hera and Zeb have their own things to do in the New Republic.

I like the idea of the World Between Worlds being the place where Jedi go when they die. It would make sense how they know when/where to appear to living Jedi to offer advice or assistance.

Yea the multiverse and cameo technique worked well for Marvel. I'm sure it will do the same for star wars....

The attention to detail in lightsaber duels is tremendous, baylon vs ahsoka felt like a samurai vs a medieval knight and Baylon keeps becoming more and more interesting every episode RIP Ray Stevenson, truly a great performance and I'm just hoping people don't get mad over the expectations they set for marrok even tho the show did nothing to insinuate he was anything

Well, this is awkward, but they actually both used the same European longsword techniques by Liechtenauer. That's why she put away one of her sabers. Because Liechtenauer techniques are for fighting other longswords, pretty much exclusively.

I thought it was horrible.. the sith girl and mandalorian fight made no sense.. you’d think she would run towards her with the light saber instead of running away?? Kinda how mace windu took out jango fett.

This was such a beautiful episode in so many ways!!!...9.5/10 only because Zeb could have came along with Hera and said a "Just like old times line!" With Jacen saying "Uncle Zeb you came!" ......that would have been icing on the cake!!!....in this case Hera's cakes😂

Whats really impressed me is how cinematic the look of this series has been. The first episode was Rebels come to life, even the sparseness of Lothal. Book of Boba and Obi-Wan looked liked a fan made series compared to Ahsoka when you look solely at the cinematography.

I am ABSOLUTELY LOVING Baylan and Shin. Even though we don't know much about them or their relationship. To me it really comes off as like a Ex-Jedi trying to train a Sith apprentice and teach her balance in the force as opposed to full darkside.

Whole episode was intense then I seen Anakin and a smile went across my face; Ashoka leaving and not completing the trials prevented one of the reasons for Anakin to get granted the rank of master; In order to become a master you must train a apprentice and have them complete the trials ; Ashoka left and never did complete those trials

Can we talk about how Ahsoka is so ruthless during her interactions with her opponents? 😂 I love how she shuts peoples shit talking down right away.

I'm sure Ahsoka grabbed her saber with both hands as she knew she'd need more power. Of course she might have been faster had she used both sabers as she'd have had rapid fire attacks but that would have left her without the necessary power for her defense. Judging Balaan's moves and strikes he most likely is a Djem So user, which Ahsoka of course is familiar with. She trained under Anakin, who is a noted practitioner of that style. Her knowing this shows how the directors pay attention to details which is a nice touch. So there's definitely more to her using both hands for one saber than just cool stance or samurai like fighting. ;) BTW one of the most deadly samurai Miyamoto Musashi fought just like Ahsoka - with 2 sabers. :D

One word to describe how I felt watching this episode the first time, emotional. The light saber duel between Ahsoka and Baylan was breath taking, the betrayal by Sabine heart breaking (was it just me or did Ahsoka seem to have a look of knowing, like I knew you didn't have my back, or knowing she would fail her trial with Baylan and give the map up) and total excitement and joy when Ahsoka smiled at seeing her old master (it literally brought a tear to my eye). I loved this episode so much. I hope this is a sign of things to come.

Very good episode, decent series so far. It’s been exciting to see Filoni tell a story that he seems to really care about again. Quick thing though, Sabine doesn’t have the Force. She faked out Shin and then surprised her with wrist rockets. Did you ever finish the scene? A big part of this show is Ahsoka learning how to be a teacher to a difficult student. Ahsoka sees Anakin as she remembered him. Whether it’s real or not shouldn’t matter. What’s going to happen next is that Anakin will speak to Ahsoka about how he had to adapt to train her, because they were both unconventional Jedi. This will lead Ahsoka to train Sabine differently, unconventionally. She will focus on Sabine’s strengths instead of trying to unlock power that she may not possess in the first place. That’s how Kanan broke through when he trained her, by adapting and trying something different.

This episode felt like a finale I’m so glad we didn’t go through 8 fillers to get to this point!!! And where only on episode 4 so happy
