They chase the Sun and Moon, and are destined to one day catch and devour them. Kind of a symbol of night/day, light/dark, much like how these characters seem to be between Jedi and Sith.

I want to thank you for your reactions. You provide insight at the end of your videos which makes you better than 99 percent of all the reactors. Also, I love your passion. I am writing this a bit late, my mind is a bit in pieces lately. But I will say that you and Louis Julie are the only ones I really look for. You both have the passion and the knowledge and that means a lot to me. Please know how thankful we all are for what you are doing. Relating to Shin and Baylan and her being more, here's more on the dialog. "He was trained as a Jedi, you I trained to be more" "I liked the idea of it, not the weakness" He brought Shin up to be a Jedi without the weakness. Willing to kill to serve her need. She has both the light and the dark side. She was not brought up with the moralistic "dogmatic" view of the Jedi. The term dogmatic is from Sidious in Star Wars Episode III. Shin is able to embrace both sides of the force. And again, I love what they are doing. But I have to admit, half of me is here for the music! Hey Laney, I knew this would be a slower set up episode, but it exceeded my expectations with Thrawn!!! I didn’t expect to get him so soon especially for a whole episode honestly, Ezra too?!! Are u kidding me!!! Now all the pieces are in place for these final 2 episodes of hopefully a multiple season show to be the best thing we’ve ever seen on Disney+ in live action!!!! After a bit more analysis, I see numerous references to Norse mythology: Night Sisters talking about threads of destiny - In Norse mythology, there were Norns, which were seers who prophesied every event. Night Sisters fear something because they know there is something stronger than them. - Here, in the Norse equivalent, there are several options: Fenrir, Garm, or Ragnarok itself. Whatever it is in the Star Wars universe, it must be extremely powerful if the Night Sisters fear it. Beylan and Shin, or rather their names, Skoll and Hati, wolves chasing the sun and the moon before Ragnarok to devour them. Beylan wants to seek what Night Sisters fear, saying something is calling to him. If he finds it, it will lead to Ragnarok. (In one scene, we see a gigantic bat-like creature. We must also remember the words from the second episode, spoken by Sam Witwer's voice, which said: "The Chosen One, The Chosen One." Anakin wasn't the Son, but that doesn't explain other evidence. In my opinion, the Son might appear. It's possible that Beylan is searching for him or World Between Worlds) Thrawn and his commander - Thrawn has three potential counterparts in mythology: Loki, Fenrir, or Hel. Loki is the most likely, as he is supposed to escape from his prison before Ragnarok and return on a ship made of nails, leading an army of the dead to battle. The name of his commander, "Inoch" or something like that, is a reference to Christianity. This character was so loved by God in mythology that you could say he never died. So, they are like zombies under the influence of the Sisters of Night's magic. In Norse mythology, there are servants of Hel, people who died dishonorably. Before Ragnarok, a very important event takes place: the death of Baldur, the patron of the sun. Did someone significant die? Well, Marrok did, but he has nothing to do with Baldur. However, if we look further, we have Kanan, who fits the role. Many things indicate that this puzzle is heading towards Ragnarok.

Lovely to hear about your increased viewers. I found you during Ahsoka, so I'm one of them! Even as someone that isn't into "decorative pillows", the pufferpig do look nice. And you seemed happy to have it. And I guess that is the important thing. Many people have disliked Sabine and her actions so far in the show. I have defended her, with the argument "the Sabine we met in Rebels. Is Sabine in Ahsoka doing the same decisions? Is she true to her character?" But in this episode.. Why didn't she tell Ezra? "Well... about that. We do have a small problem". And then Ezra could answer with the famous line: "I have a bad feeling about this".

Baylan is fast becoming one of my favorite Star Wars characters. Ray's performance is amazing but I find the complexity of his views fascinating in a world where a lot of things tend to be cut and dry. My perspective on Baylan telling Shin that he has trained her to be more then a Jedi is that he has taught her balance. That there is insight in emotion. That instead of denying your emotional self you choose to feel it, to sit with it and listen to what it tells you, but also the control to not allow it to dominate and force your path like the darkside does. There is healing and growth in being able to understand your pain and where it comes from, because only through being with your trauma and acknowledging it can you move through it. The Jedi sought to cut emotion off whereas the Sith believed in embracing it and eventually being consumed by it. Both paths are flawed. At least that is my perspective on it. I love your reactions. Keep up the amazing things you do :)

The more i see of baylan the more I want to know about him. Hes one of the most interesting antagonist in all the live action shows, his presence and acting is just top tier. Ray Stevenson was an absolute legend, its such a massive loss, its gonna be interesting to see what happens to his character and if he survives the show, would they recast him?

- For me Huyang talking about Galactic History Part 1-3 was a reference to the prequel (part 1), original (2) and sequel trilogy (3). With Ahsoka saying she (obviously) likes part 1 the best. In other words a meta joke for the audience. - In one of the early drafts for Star Wars I believe it was stated R2 is actually the one who documented everything from the Skywalker saga, and thus, is indirectly responsible for the _Journal of the Whills_ ("A long time ago, in a galaxy, far, far away" as well as the opening crawl). - This is the first time we get to see a different Star Wars galaxy in live-action. Luke was still on a planet within the local galaxy. Even Exegol, the planet Sidious was on in Ep 9 was in the Unknown Regions of the same galaxy. - We finally got a confirmation that the Dathomiri originated from a different galaxy entirely. This could explain why their dark magick is similar to the Force yet so very different. - It was sad to see a purgill graveyard surrounding Peridea, with their bones floating around. - I believe Enoch's mask is reference to Roman gladiators. Also Thrawn's night troopers might all be undead. What if most, if not all, stormtroopers died when the purrgil forcefully brought the broken Star Destroyer through hyperspace at the end of Rebels. Their armors look worn down and all have red ribbons tied around them. These ribbons look a lot like Dathomiri Witch robes and could signify they're under a dark magick resurrection spell. We also saw troops transport coffins from the catacombs. - Personally I don't agree with Sabine's initial anger towards the howler that ran off during the fight. It's an animal. It has fight or flight instincts, and normally no loyalty towards its rider. If it believes it can't survive a certain hostile situation you can't expect it to stay around.

Take this with a grain of salt............ But.............. I just heard that Ezra may have made a new lightsaber (from Rancor bones?). Possibly with the help of the Lightsisters? From what I heard (a very good source on KZbin called House of the Jedi), it will be a sort of whitish/ blue color. That's if this leak is correct. The same source suggested that Shin may have some connection to this galaxy. I should point out that the source has gotten so much right already, including the appearance of Anikan, Thrawn, Ahsoka drowning, Enoch (even his appearance), the night troopers, etc...

1:03 Ahsoka could also hear Sabine's thoughts at the beginning of episode 2 and Grogu's thoughts in Mandalorian season 2 episode 5. Therefore Idk of that proves it being a "dream" or not. I feel like if we had seen that cut Mustafar scene between Ahsoka and Anakin it would have almost confirmed that it wasn't really a "dream" cause Ahsoka doesn't even know about that Mustafar fight I think, so it wouldn't have appeared in her head in or as a "dream".

I honestly think there's a huge twist in this story where Baylan and Shin will help Ahsoka, Sabine and Ezra at the very last minute against Morgan and Thrawn, I don't believe they are bad but just have a different motive i think Baylan has some history with Thrawn where Thrawn might of killed his friends or parents or something during a war and is seeking some pay back. I dont think Sabine will give back Ezra lightsaber she's modded it to her own specs now so wouldn't be the same. From what ive heard from the last 2 episode from leaks is going to be insane!

😆 I commented about the puffer pig before you gave the code word lol but again…….puffer pig lol -Some of the LOTR/Dune-esque fantasy shots in this episode looked so cool, we need more of that in star wars. -The witches said Sabine reeked of Jedi and that she was dangerous, so something force related is definitely going on with her. -So it’s canon, thrawn is a whale killer, #SaveTheSpaceWhales I’m worried that when thrawn makes it back he’s going to head straight to Lothal and shoot it up.☹️ And I’m really worried about how Sabine’s decision will affect her relationships. -I need more info on what Baylan is up to. He said he wants to end the cycle of the back and forth between good and evil and that he wants to go to the beginning so I’m wondering if he’s trying to go to the WBW to change events or something. And he said the witches are afraid of something more powerful than them which has me intrigued 🤔 -Also Jabba looked so good! Such good casting! I’m so glad he was in this episode!

Hey Laney! I do have one question. How does Thrawn not know about Anakin? Was he not aware of who Vader was? I may have missed something but there are a few comics out there which make it known that Thrawn knew it was Anakin/Vader. If you see this, thank you for the explanation.

I'm Guessing Thrawn lost all his men. Those Troopers look dead to me. With how there armour looks like it was blown to pieces (and then put back together). How could the Soldiers inside the Armour Survive that.

Good review Laney. Sabine is a mess, she's not a great Jedi and made that terrible deal with Baylan. I'm hoping she will find herself again with Ezra. Baylan and Shin are so interesting - what is the 'Beginning'? Thrawn was good, although a little overweight for his character. His calm, deliberate thinkings were there and I'm worried about the Rebel Alliance now as they are not strong and Thrawn has the potential to completely pull them apart. There's a lot for Ahsoka to deal with when she arrives!

Imo live action Thrawn doesn't have to completely match his animated counterpart. People's weight change as they grow older. It's been quite some years since his final appearance in Rebels S4. We also don't know how much his lifestyle has changed due to the circumstances.

She was in The World Between Worlds for sure but it still could have been not Anakin. It could have been the Son/Brother or even the Father. They've done this before. Personally, I think it was Anakin but it's possible that it wasn't.

Its so bizarre to hear thrawns voice come out of lars mikkelsen in live action. His voice is so satisfying to listen to tho. How does this show keep getting better? Star wars fans are eating good.

Unpopular opinion: I like the Thrawn from the books (Timothy Zahn's latest book trilogy in particular - Thrawn, Alliances and Treason) waay more than the version of Thrawn from Rebels and now Ahsoka. I watched Rebels after I read the books and I was a bit disappointed with him, although everyone loves him in Rebels. He was more of an antihero in the books, compared to Rebels where he is a straight up evil villain. In the books he strategizes in such a way that loss of life is minimized, on either side. He will never kill unless there is no other way around it, unlike here. The version from the books makes me sympathize with him all the way. I get it, too much moral ambiguity and complexity was perhaps unnecessary in an animated series made for a younger audience, but now the same version of evil Thrawn is in the Ahsoka series. I wish they would've went with the books version.

I've heard that point from many people. As someone that haven't read the books, but seen shorter explanations of Zahn-Thrawn explained. I do think it is very complicated to make a full Zahn-Thrawn into movie-form, but I wished they took more of it. For example how he treats his crew in the book.
