7:03 Honestly I feel like Dave made Sabine his own personal OC, First she’s a mando rebel, then she was a bounty hunter, Then her family is a important figure in her culture, then she created a important weapon for the empire that effected her people (which according to the show she was like 12 or 13 when she made said weapon) and now she can use the force.

I don't think that's why, because later on we get a line from Sabine saying she's "incredibly resilient", which seems to imply that she survived because she's just that tough or maybe because she's a mando or something. I think the show just wants us to believe that she can survive a light stab.

13:50 i remember in prequels that tie fighter lasers were much thicker and "heavier" than blaster fire. Those easily pierced through the shield droid bubbles. If we were to go by that logic, Ahsokas arms should have snapped while trying to reflect those laser projectiles.... But nah.

How does the New Republic even work? Why should the Chancellor hold a vote in the Senate to allow the general (!) to take a squadron if only one senator can approve this mission? Huyang throughout the series: gives logical and rational arguments for why Ahsoka's actions are idiotic. Ahsoka: no. Do as I say, I have plot armor and plot luck. Huyang: Okay. Minefield. Do you have any idea how many mines it takes to mine SPACE? And how long will it take? And why weren't any whales harmed by them? Naturally, flying straight through the wreckage, you won’t damage even the antenna on your boat... Sabin, you still haven’t told Ezra the situation, even though you don’t have time? What a stupid cow you are... How did Beilan and Shin negotiate with the red riders, who obviously do not know their language and who caught them over the corpses of their comrades? Naturally, Ahsoka and Sabine can connect mentally, despite the fact that Sabine is insensitive to the Force... and Ezra is sitting next to her, but Ahsoka does not feel him... Witches can not only sense Ahsoka, but also determine her position on the map with an accuracy of up to a meter? But they couldn't find Ezra for 10 years? Thrawn, if you don't care whether you defeat your enemies or not because you'll get off the planet, why don't you just shoot and bomb them from the air instead of sending a useless landing party? Actually, you don’t have many soldiers left, and you still have to fight the Republic... Ezra. You're a fucking Jedi. Take your fucking lightsaber and fight Shin! Sabin doesn't even use it! Ezra is so strong that he can forcefully stop Shin's blows, but Shin can knock him back and knock him out? The Ninja Turtles invented flying armored personnel carriers, but they shoot with fucking slingshots? By armored riders? How about just running them over? Ahsoka, why did you jump off to fight Baylan if your goal is to help Ezra and Ahsoka and he doesn’t threaten them? And your plan was to let Huyang burn you with flashes? Naturally, Ahsoka can simply drive into the frame through a crowd of stormtroopers, they can’t do anything at all... How about disarming and tying up Shin so you have a hostage and an extra lightsaber? No? In short, I've had enough. The series is shit, which will be licked because they showed us a hologram of Anakin and he said “Ventress.” Filoni is an arrogant hack, no better than Abrams or Johnson. Thanks everyone for reading.

I haven't seen Ahsoka, so I'm responding to your point purely in isolation, solely as a general idea. I get what you're saying, but I feel like slow burn consequences can work really well to. Like a character makes a mistake, but doesn't realize while the audience does, and so remains oblivious while the audience dreads what will happen because of it. Consequences don't have to be immediate. I suppose the most important factor is that something comes of it, that a consequence does occur.

I really WANTED to like Ahsoka (the series), but as you point out, there's just so many weird decisions. They should have opened with a live-action version of the ending of Rebels with Ezra on the bridge of the Chimera with Thrawn, shown the ending of the battle of Lothal, and Sabine's perspective, the jump to hyperspace for Sabine to "wake up" standing there at the ceremony; she was daydreaming, but it serves as an expository flashback for us. It would also be a better introduction to the show with SOMETHING ACTUALLY HAPPENING rather than the lady from Rent looking at the "golden snitch" as you call it fighting robots. I tried watching Star Wars Rebels and, no offense to anyone who likes that show, but it's very obviously for pre-teen age kids. Watching the last episode of the show greatly helped my understanding of this show. They should have just shown a brief live-action flashback to what happened to Ezra to establish who he is and who Thrawn is. From there, maybe they find the map as a kind of "message in a bottle" that someone found with a recording from Ezra to give Ahsoka and Sabine MORE MOTIVATION to go looking for him. As is, there's a lack of driving purpose in the show.

As someone who has never watched the cartoons or this show ...what is that thing 'Ahsoka' wears on her head? Is it a hat? Her skin? Something akin to those Reggae knitted sacks to put your dreads in, or what? Because it looks like it's attached to her head and never comes off. She even wears her robe with a hood over it, so again: what is it? Something that someone thought looked cool when they made character art, and so had no idea what to do with it except let her keep it on at all times, like the kids in South Park, or something. 'Ahsoka' and that green female - with a head wrapped in leather pants and steam punk goggles - just looks both hilarious AND ridiculous at once. I guess what I'm asking is: how to take any of this serious when everyone looks and acts like a kids' cartoon show instead of something that could actually be real?

I disagree with a lot of things in this video, but I agree with a good amount. Pacing was off on the show, way to many needless details, canon-breaking plot-points (like how if they had those 'self-destruct' bomb the entire time, you'd think they'd utilize them rather than building a whole death star or heavy turbo lasers which do half the fire-power). When you said 'the infamously terrible prequels,' it kinda set me off. Obviously, not flawless, but they're well written movies with a large fan-base. I can accept inconsistencies here and there, but the fact lightsabers kill only the bad guys makes me mad. How in heaven could Feloni make such blatantly bad choices? It's that kind of inconsistencies that killed the sequel trilogy after TFA. BTW, I loved Ahsoka. For some strange reason. I like its surrealistic aspects.
@VonJay8 ай бұрын
I mean TFA and Ahsoka are heavy handed nostalgic and research group lead films. They’re like Amazon products polished through customer feedback in the review section. Derivative, risk averse, Popular opinion congealed into live action. Where in the history of mankind, art is the creative expression or analogy of an individual’s struggle. The rarest thing you can find on Earth. The spirit of the OT is largely due to the voice of Lucas and not to the voice of the people. I think Filoni is slightly better than JJ, but they’re not traditional artists. They’re not writers or are the best writers for the job. They largely copy and paste the most superficial elements about Star Wars without knowing how to tell a story on almost any level. TFA was one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen in my life. When I watch a movie I want to see how an individual expresses himself artistically. In TFA i have no idea what the movie is trying to say or is expressing. It has no depth or layers beyond the repeated shell of the OT. Without even improving on it. It’s like he repainted the Mona Lisa with a mustache. In Ahsoka, nothing happens besides a major plot point: Thrawn escaping a far off galaxy. That plot point is as deep as the story will go because nothing really happens besides that. No consequences, no lessons, nothing, absolutely nothing. And the crazy thing is that, we all knew this would show how Thrawn returned, but it was the breadth of the entire story.

I think disney gets it right by having characters that are automatically the bestest ever. No earning strength or training. Just pure kick ass mary sueness

I miss the Clone Wars and Mandalorian season 1 day's of Star Wars shows, It still felt necessary and actually helped and expanded the franchise.....Also I don't love the preqwals but there's some pretty cool moments and it's mainly the dialogue that brings them down for me the rest is actually alright

Another Disney Star Wars failure. It's such a shame because we know what a SW show can be if it's in the right hads, like take a look at Andor for example so far that show has genuinely been great in and outside of Star Wars and is a prestige drama that nails what it's set out to do, we need more Star Wars shows like that they don't need to be as good but they need to try and be as good.

It's anything but a failure..it did it's job

@@soularprimestudios5930it’s garbage…. what job was that exactly? literally nothing happened. all that build up to the final confrontation with Thrawn just for him to escape again. What was good about it? Another de aged Anakin Skywalker cameo where he delivers his lines like a plank of wood?

Moral of the story: Qui Gon is such a pussy for not being able to survive a quick stab. But seriously, the problem started ever since Darth Maul came back but nobody moans about it because he’s not a “strong female character” like Reva and Sabine. Same thing as how Thor got humiliated to prop up Captain America in Avengers Endgame. Somehow it’s acceptable when a cool male character is destroyed to prop up another cool male character.

Fr, Qui gon just seems weak compared to all the injuries people survive.

Actually I remember when back in a day people did complain about the stupidity of Maul resurrection. And it was still idiotic decision, but at least Maul decent character development that came later was justifiable enough for majority of fans to get used to that retcon.

You’re kinda right about it starting with Maul I think for him it made a bit of sense they actually explained part of why he survived, his hate fueled his dark side powers so much that it kept him alive Also he suffered for it losing his legs became a handicap for him instead of him just coming back perfectly fine like Sabine and palpatine

You've got a weird take on that, most people watching don't really know Maul's story. In fact, I wouldn't have known had people using the same argument not forced me to see that Maul was brought back. Filoni's a hack that should stick to tween stories. Thor was made stupid and fat to prop up president 12 steps Valkeryie, not Cap. Remember he abdicated his crown to play xbox with the rock monster? Gotta respect Taika repping his good "friend" Tessa master of a thousand faces, Thompson.
