I just want to adress that fact that unfortunately Anthony Bourdain committed suicide recently and that this a big loss to the world. Rest in peace. Depression is a common and a major mental disease, if you have problems, please make sure you consult a doctor to get professional help. ❤️

Great video. I can see you put in a lot of effort into this video and gained tremendous insight into these families and their eateries that a typical tourist would not have. Also, kudos to riding the scooter in VN. Don't you get a much better feel for life in Vietnam by being able to ride everywhere? I grew up in the States but spent 10 years in VN and miss it a lot. I really miss riding the scooter with my wife talking into my ear, or laughing and giggling with my children sitting in front of me. We'd be riding somewhere and suddenly see something interesting or smell something good and just stop and go in to enjoy their offering. Have a good time in VN, enjoy getting to know the locals and don't hold back on the food. Last but not least, thank you for putting in the time to film and post these videos for us to enjoy.

Minh Nguyen Thank you for posting this comment and for watching. I understand exactly what you mean, being in vietnam is a very unique and different lifestyle in a good way. For me personally I think I have a easier time being myself and also more spontaneous! Making videos is extremely difficult sometimes but the result is usually very rewarding!

Such a GREAT video! You really are underrated, but keep going because with the quality of videos you make and your culinary background, I'm sure you will hit it big. You're the first one I've seen to go deep into Hue and eat things like banh ep and all the local foods in that area. You so should hit up Quang Tran next time he's in Vietnam so you can grow your channel!

Your video quality and your effort will pay off. Just keep hustling. Just curious how you approach the locals so they let you inside their homes and allow you to participate in the cooking? Do you have a guide with you? Have you considered using OneTrip? I know Sonny used to partner with them a lot and they helped finance his projects when he first moved to Vietnam. It's something you should think about. If nothing else, at least the student guides can show you the local foods and whatnot - although you've done a great job of finding all the good stuff so far!

Do they deshell the prawns before mixing the mixture?
@doodahgurlie4 жыл бұрын
No. Vietnamese people often eat the whole shrimp with shells on. The shrimp are small so the shells aren't as tough. You get more calcium when you eat the shells. :)

You're script is sometimes hilarious - makes me wanna spank your script writer - and consider getting a new one...😁 Keep making awesome vlogs! Everything you ate on this episode looked delicious! Have you ever heard “Vietnamese egg coffee”? If not, you should try it next time when you come back to Vietnam. I’m currently studying in the U.S. I missed vietnamese food a lot. It seems to be hard for me to find a good Vietnamese restaurant in my state. My country is just a developing country and couldn’t compare anything with other countries. But there is one thing that I’m proud of my country is our cuisine. Although I’m Vietnamese, I still dont have deep-knowledge about Vietnamese cuisine. There are so many things that I’ve never tried. Again thank so so so much for visiting my country. Hopefully u had a good time in Vietnam. I really appreciate it.

Thank you so much for watching my video! Yes I really enjoy egg coffee, I just think that there is so many videos covering that so it might not be a very unique video! Hope everything goes well in the US! :)
