Today we focus on the known and lesser known starting the day with the national dish - BUN CHA! Location:

After that we move on to something called Sua Bien which is pickled jellyfish, it is a very unique dish. It is only served two-three months per year and the locals love it. It is served with an extremely smelly sauce which you dip into. Location:

I just had to wash down that jellyfish with something smooth and sweet so we went to a place called Tao Pho and they serve something called Bahn Flan which almost like a Crème brûlée but a Vietnamese version of it! SUPER CHEAP and very delicious. Location:

Lastly we hit a place which is very well known, but not so much for tourists, It is called Xoi Yen. This is a must if you enjoy sticky rice, I was surprisingly good and decent pricing!

Cannot believe you tried mam tom. It's an...acquired taste. LOL! Maybe you should have introduced yourself slowly by adding it in your bun bo Hue first. Or eat it in the dips for various types of spring rolls with pineapple. Sonny and Mark McFarlin are fans of it, believe it or not. But that's because they tried it with the fried tofu and herbs - which I believe is a Hanoi specialty.

That's like the Indians saying they won't travel to the US since we eat a lot of cows. Cows are sacred, not just pets like dogs. And the Muslims for saying they won't come to the US due to the eating of pigs. I won't eat dog, but I'm not gonna pooh-pooh them for it as long as they're not cruel to them or are stealing people's pet dogs for food.
