You know that when you're prompting you can suggest "minimalistic", or even specify "insanely detailed" to get more detail in your images. I'd like to try this really soon!

You said the cyber punk one was lacking in detail, but you didn’t try to modify the prompt to see if you can get more out of it. Like what happens if you prompt “highly detailed” or “extremely beautiful, cinematic, synthwave” an art prompt like illustrated of oil painting, or the name of an artist or whatever

I think the new smooth slider is best suited for paths created with the pencil or paint brush tools. Because those paths tend to be jittery and have too many anchor points, especially when drawing with a mouse. Also you can use the smooth slider on just part of a path by selecting those anchor points with the direct select tool and then smoothing them out. It definitely works better than the smooth tool.

Ooooh that's a cool thing! Didn't know about it. Major releases of Illustrator usually have us content creators speedrunning video production, so we always leave some stuff behind hahaha. Nice to know that! Definitely agree, both with it being more suited for pencil/brush paths and the Smooth Tool :P

Smooth works on the selected portions of a path even if it is made using pen tool. Select portion of path or complete path using direct selection tool and apply smooth slider. It will work.

@@AndyTellsThings Do you have any idea how to get more simple results? I told it to generate a simple redwood tree black and white but the results are very artsy. I also told it to draw me a Perfect circle and it drew me a very artsy circle with a bunch of unnecessary extras

Just FYI, the smooth tool works with the pen but you have to select the vertex. ;) enjoy!

Hi Andy, You could not use the retype tool in the first two images, because you have to "embed" the image first. After that you can use the retype tool. ;) Hope that helps.

Generative text to vector has an option to use a reference image but I was unable to figure out how it works. It didn’t appear to do anything but if it does work I guess you can input a photo or illustration you have made to nudge the generated results in that direction. Which would make text to vector a lot less random, like img2img in the non vector AI world.

Hi there! Try checking the Color Panel (it's the one with the color palette icon, if it's not open go to Window Menu > Color). You have 2 colors there: fill and stroke. They're the 2 squares at the top left, fill is the filled square, and stroke is the one with a hole in the center. See if you're actually changing the fill color, and not just the stroke. :)

So i'm an illustrator (Concept artist) who wants to broaden my skill towards vector and feeling like learning Adobe Illustrator.I got a great impression from all of your tutorials until i found out about this video.Never in my life see my fellow illustrator artist have a positive impression towards anything Artificial Intelligence.But turns out it was different case with Vector Artists (not just you,found many vector artists channel have a good impression for intergrated AI) i couldnt fathom professions sound this excited for something that most likely will kill their job in very near future. What stinks is as Adobe does, since they're all about squeezing out ever dollar from you, the generative fill is hit or miss, mostly miss. And Adobe only wants to give you 1000 generations. Idk.
