This is such an emotional and powerful storyline but I’m glad Corrie have approached it. I’m glad a Soap is tackling such a storyline like this. I only wanted to post tonight’s scenes as I want people who are depressed to speak up and seek help before things are to late. I hope this storyline will make people speak up and just know people do suffer in silence and that shouldn’t be the case anymore.

I'm actually a person who has suffered from depression and quite often does. On some occasions, it's unexplainable, but for me to find a deep-rooted logical explaination comes from self-esteem, and something that is amis in my life that I don't think could ever be filled and that is the 21st century world I now live in that's made me realise how badly I miss the 1990s.

I've had a friend in the past take there own life and it was horrible I wondered why the last time I seen them they were overly kind and told me I was a good friend and we had some good times a few days later I found out he had took his life also I recently got got diagnosed with series anxiety and depression disorder which I've been struggling with for years I was trying to brush it of but it come to the point 11 days ago where I found my self sitting next to a bridge wondering if any one would care if I jumped Infront of the next due train before I new it 5 hrs had passed by then my phone rang and it was my mum then I thought what would she think or feel if I had done it so I rang my doctor and got an appointment which I don't regret my doctor was that conserned he kept me in his office 1 and a half hrs past closing time and refused to let me go till we spoke about things and what caused it which was loosing both my great grand parents in 2006 years later I still struggle with their loss as we were very very close as more time passed it gets harder for me to come to terms with then this Jan my grandad passed away which was the final blow I'm glad I got the help I needed for all these years I hope if someone feels the same and reads this it can help admitting you have meantle health and thought of taking your own life isint a sign of weakness if you realise that it's one step in the direction of getting help it don't make u less of a man or woman it makes u stronger than u think

This storyline was handled so well. And i literally was taken by surprise by it. I had no idea what was going on through aidens head so in effect it educated me into how suicidal tendancies can grow. I've been depressed and had suicidal thoughts, luckily i had my children to save my life and i thank god for that. I do know people who have taken their own lives even with children, so knowing that someone can "have it all" and still commit suicide is a tragic situation and battle of self, i can only imagine being in. 2 years on this storyline still has my awareness .

as someone whos suffered since god knows when with depression, anxiety trauma and suicidal thoughts, this hit me hard. I wouldnt wish this on my worst enemy, the pain and suffering in silence, this definitely made me cry and im so glad they did this storyline to not only highlight suicide and depression, but do it with a man, men need to know they dont need to "man up" theyre allowed to feel this way❤

Such a powerful performance by all the actors involved in this story it’s heartbreaking to lose someone to Suicide I have sadly lost 7 very good Friend’s to suicide the void it leaves the questions you ask yourself

I honestly don't follow the logic in how all of a sudden, something as drastic and tragic is on Aiden. He had just started to rebuild his life and self-esteem. Okay, so he found out about the Baby, but so what? Surely a better and a more natural exit would be for both Him and Eva to head for the Sunset with the baby and give Toyah an inadvertent comeuppance??? Very sad for the character that it has come to this.

Peanut, thanks for the reply. I totally understand where you're coming from. The time of my writing that post, I was unaware the Aiden was suffering from depression. I didn't read the opening post of this thread too. The whole context of this took me completely by surprise and that epitomizes in essense, everything to do with this whole matter.

Peanut, might I add also that I'm a sufferer of depression too and I am living proof. I recognise what brings me down, but for trying to reason or find the root of 'A' problem can be a challenge. I've had for example today, a great day, but something is bringing me down, sadly (Edited 20.40 - 9/5/18).

@@jackmcclymont3542 I’m still alive. In sept last year, I was let go from a job I felt secure in. I felt used, betrayed, backstabbed, and taken advantage of. I couldn’t say goodbye to anyone I was friends with, felt like a failure and could no longer trust anyone. I felt suicidal. But I got help. I underwent 6 weeks of therapy and managed to secure another job just before Xmas. I still feel resentment towards my previous employer, but I’m doing much better and I’m doing fine in my new job.
