A most enthralling discussion this was. It was interesting to hear reference to; "America sacrificing the Republic for the Empire." Indeed, the State of the Union is certainly not what it once was. The continental US will continue to be great home turf to have, but the American global empire will steadily prioritize more and more foreign interests over domestic ones. While I don't expect we will hear any Diocletian edict about any division of empire as the election gets nearer, the Democrats and Republicans have their own agendas now; some of which are in sync with each other while other are not. I feel the US is a diarchy at this point in its history and future 4 year presidential terms can be looked upon as simply a rotation of administrative consulships. Hopefully we will see unity prevail more so over disunity between the relative parties, especially within the senate.

He's too experienced, eloquent, intelligent and definitely Presidential material. That's why he could never get elected.

If your understanding of the world comes out of a western movie about "bad guys vs good guys" you should be banned from any type of decision making.

The US is still illegally occupying Syria despite that the completely illegal proxy war where CIA and SOF were arming and training literally Al Qaeda failed.
