Government of Karnataka should make serious efforts to get Badami and Aihole included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site list. Having that tag will lead to better care and preservation. I have noticed that since Hampi and Pattadakal are World Heritage Sites they are comparatively well maintained than other tourist spots. Also, all the Hoysala temples deserve World Heritage Site status for their mind blowing carvings.

Sudeesh Sir. My birth place a village called Chilapur which is very close to this cave temple. In fact you can see it at a distance from from this temple. I spent some 3 years of my childhood here before my parents moved to Bagalkot for my education.

Good video Sudeesh Sir, I think you got my point that Aihole's first inscription on this small ground level hillock slope graduating to small height earlier Chlukyans were followers of Buddhism and Jainism, I think till Pulikeshi and after Vinayadiylthya and Vikramaditya I & II, the embraced shaivism, besieged Pallavas and upraising Cholas entered in to wedlock and exchange of temple art, style and structure started. The Famous shore temple abutting Mamallapuram sea beach or Mahabalipuram near Chennai is in the Vesara style of architecture which is un known to Dravidian syle, I think, the chalukyas have patronised it there when they were holding Kanchipuram for a long time when Vikramaditya waged a war to settle a score of the defeat of his great grand father Pulikeshi II in the hands of Mahendra Varma. Well I told too much, should I conclude saying that the Banashankari Temple is also very interesting please do visit. Thanks Sudeep Sir
