Aikidoflow Hey Aikidoflow. You should watch Lenny Sly's videos and do some techniques like him. The techniques you do are weak, unpowerful and bullshit. Learn some effective techniques from Lenny Sly.

What's the difference between Aikido and Judo? Which was created first? Best wishes.

Glacier Blue Judo was created a few decades earlier than Aikido, around the start of the 20th century. Judo is a competitive grappling art. Judo practitioners focus on 90% throwing people to the ground, and 10% pinning or submittng. Aikido is a mixture of psychology and a defensive non-competitive art. Aikido contain wrist locks which is illegal in most competitions. Aikido does mainly 2 things. Defend yourself in the streets and change your views to the world. When it comes to defending, Aikido people can only defend against street fighters and not against trained people.

Great video! That says it all! I'm the only one at our dojo that applies yubi dori techniques. It's a damn shame!

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! That was great. My base in traditional Japanese systems is just solid enough to have realized, "Wait. They just barely bowed in. Why are they immediately bowing out? (Pause) Aha!" Right about then, I literally laughed out loud at what that says about traditional Aikido. I love it when systems that some consider to be the "end all, be all" are revealed to leave some combative aspects completely unaddressed. Looking forward to the Tenshin portion. Lookin' good, by the way, brother.

Ah haha....That was real funny. :) But I think I saw Gozo Shiodo doing some "Small circle Jujitsu" or "Yubi Dori",but I could bee wrong. Gozo was also into Yoshinka Aikido and not the traditional one.

Yubi Dori comes from kobudo such as Daito Ryu Aikijujutsu and Yoshinkan Aikido. I believe Obata Toshishiro Sensei teaches it in his Aikibujutsu Tanren Kenkyukai curriculum.

Pls Reply My Comment Sly. I like what u do. And I am your fan. Your awesome. I got a question. Do you think you can defend yourself against a professional boxer or mma fighter? Wil you be able to fight with guys from UFC in the streets?

And Yoshinkan Aikido has yubi dori techniques. Understandably many Aikido practitioners are unfamiliar with the nuances of the other styles.
