Hi Karl, in numerous FB/whatsapp groups we can see DHA processing Nov-23 lodgements for 190 and Mar-24 & Nov/Dec-23 and for 491. Presumably this is to improve 50% processing time for better optics. Can you please provide your insights and inference on this matter. Has there been any precedence before? An expert like you would know since you've been in the market for so long!

Hi Karl, Thanks for your videos! I have a question regarding the position as Data Analyst, which is in the new CSOL visa. The funny thing is that to receive a positive skills assessment from ACS as Data Analyst, you are required to have 2 years of experience post-qualification, while for the SID visa it's 1 year, but a skills assessment is required (if required for the position). So.. which one is it? It's very confusing. Thanks!

For the 482 visa the requirments are easier and also usually no skill assessment is required. For PR there is a higher standard to reach. from the ACS. Of course that 2 year requirement simply because you have an overseas degree has always been rubbish.

That deends upon the agreement with SA but I dont think it says you ahve to keep working in that occupation till visa grant? As far as immigration is concerned they dont care

20 months waiting on the TRT. Employers sponsoring employees are getting a poor deal. The idea is for employees to be quickly approved in this stream. Instead, applying through TRT is just as long and as an employee you are still tied to your employer. Direct Entry or another visa seem like a better option nearly two years later.

The only reason I got a 494 visa was because I can keep counting the 3 years time under the visa no matter how many employers I have. Now a much easier to take 482 can count any employer and any job and get a pr in 2 years. I am happy for who got a 482 but be the Australian immigration should have the same treatment for who has a 494 and allow the Pr after 2 years. There is not respect for who is helping the regional areas, we are giving more and getting less in exchange!!! 😢

The issue of claiming points for work experince and the 482 visa are very different issues. Generally yes you can but that will depend upon a number of factors to discuss

For the DE 186 you need 3years of exp and if you have that then yes of course they can sponsor you for PR. Points for ECT will probably go up for many are entering the EOI's now. 190 would be your best bet. Thanks for the positive feedback

Clearly not all the 444 visas will have actually stayed in Australia to live, since the population of New Zealand is around 5 million. The true number would be the total number of 444s granted minus the total number cancelled upon exit. However, the changes to citizenship laws for NZ citizens has slowed down processing times for the rest of us (me included) so there are issues.
