I am a firm believer in "Not all cops are bad" but Jesus what those cops did to that woman is just sad.
@BlitzkriegOmega Жыл бұрын
It's not Cops as individuals, it's Cops as an institution that's bad. in order to do their job correctly, they have to be cruel and unfeeling. This woman had a broken ankle and cannot move, but the law states that she's Loitering, so she needs to "get gone" as the cops said. Those cops probably hated that they had to call for a paddy wagon, hated that they had to put that woman through suffering like that, but it's not their job to be compassionate to an obviously immobile person who is incapable of getting out of that wheelchair, it's their job to stuff her in that wagon and vacate her from the hospital property. The hospital said that she's faking it, so they take that as fact at face value, completely ignoring the woman's side of things because it's not their job to consider her side of things. Cops protect private property and serve the corporate interest. never believe for a second that they're on the side of the Everyman. The Everyman is the enemy of cops as an institution, especially when they're poor or not white (Racial bias is still very much baked into law enforcement).

Banana when cops don't come forward when One of them commits a crime, when they under the thin blue line ideology stand silent; they are criminals and complicit in those crimes, no excuses. This holds true even when it's unlawful tickets being written, there is a victim of a crime. Truth is that within domestic police there are very few whistleblowers. I would go so far as to include prosecutors and judges that protect cops from prosecution; add their unions and associations.

If not to treat injured, unhealthy people, then what, may I ask, is the fucking point of a hospital? That's my thoughts, I'm going to guess they took one look at her and cleared her simply for the reason of not wanting to deal with her because if they took a single X-Ray, MRI, whatever else, they would realize she needed serious medical help quick. A woman died because of the incompetence of police officers and medical staff, I don't want to say all PO's and doctors are bad, doctors save lives, police are probably the reason half of us haven't been robbed, mugged or shot in the past year, but everybody involved in that incident needs to be charged, I'd say the maximum sentence for 1st degree murder is fitting enough.

9:10 Oh, now I know this one. Lisa Edwards, she was 60. She died in police custody of a stroke. They mocked, taunted and belittled that poor woman. She was in a wheelchair the whole time because she _just_ had a stroke. She told them that she couldn't leave because she literally _couldn't_ move. You can hear in her voice that she had trouble breathing. She died due to gross, disgusting police negligence. It's shit like this that convinces me there's no reforming, you have to start from the ground up, you _have_ to abolish this shit and rebuild it because how the _fuck_ does hundreds of cops like this keep juicing through training, year after year?

@Aickelodeon Жыл бұрын
@@Honoredmemedog According to multiples news articles, the officers involved were "disciplined.". Further digging around May 2023, this only meant that both officers were simply suspended (one without pay for 10 days, the other with pay for 4). The transportation officer received no punishment as the investigation concluded that he did not violate any policies. So, TL;DR- nobody was arrested.
