My mom was a firefighter for 25 years. Shes the strongest women I know and too the day still best me in arm wrestling. I saw her suffer through her best friends death after a floor collapse while saving a family. And she had the leave her friend in their, burning, to save the family. It absolutly DISGUSTS ME that people would deface a memorial of ANY type. But it much more struck a chord with me there. There is no words in the world to describe how degenerate that is.

Just to add some happy stories into this. My mom has to spend the money on the essential stuff because she injured her back and she got terminated from her job at a packaging plant. She filed for unemployment while my dad works everything out. She still works hard at home and cares a lot about us. Yet things like monuments or veterans are disrespected by the general public. It’s truly depressing that a person could enter burning buildings, fight for their country, or help take down a rampaging shooter, and in return for their selflessness they are treated like their the scum of the earth. It actually surprises me that such selfless people manage to pick themselves back up each time they get knocked down just to keep going to save some of the most ungrateful people. My friend has hearing aids I’ll never forget the day when we had a test and a sub made her take them out thinking it was bluetooth headphones. And if that wasn’t bad enough confiscated them and sent them to the office despite me and others explaining what they were. Thankfully the lady at the office recognized them (she has custom hearing aids) and I think he got fired over it or at least was banned from subbing our grade. Tbh he probably would have been fine if he didn’t send them to the office because he had a student take them so they’re was the threat of them being damaged which would have left the school to pay.

It was so amazing they got there in 5 minutes and just went in and started pouring water on the fire. The people that really pain me are the people that say mentally disabled people are "broken", or that they aren't real people. My aunt has down syndrome and is one of the best friends I have. My family makes trips to visit our grandparents that she lives with as much as we can. When we learned about a coffee/hot chocolate shop opening up in our area called Bitty & Beau's, we were incredibly happy. Bitty & Beau's is a shop that only hires people with mental hinderances that would cause them to not get jobs in many other places. They hire lots of awesome people, and its really great to go in and see them in a place where they can be happy and support themselves.
