Her unique vocals are so damn amazing. When she was 15, she had some vocal damage occur. After treatment of basically being silent, she came back with a vengeance and now has this amazingly unique "husky" quality to her voice.

Finally an Aimer reaction! Seems like hundreds of reactors out there doing Babymetal and Band Maid (which are great, don’t get me wrong), and almost no one reacting to Aimer. She was my “first love” from J-Pop when I came across her in 2014. Beautiful vocalist in every way. She really cuts across genres with pop, jazz-blues, ballads, and rock. I would recommend Hana no Uta, Torches, Stars in the Rain, Brave Shine, hell she has so many great songs. If you can find AM03:00, that song is just pure perfection, but I’ve never come across a live video of it. EDIT: there is a live video of the AM02:00 - AM03:00 - AM04:00 medley, which I only just now realized exists! This video is from her Budokan show in 2017. The show was called “blanc et noir” (white and black). She loves to give her tours French titles and use opposites, for some reason. Her last tours were “soleil et pluie” (sun and rain) and “rouge de bleu” (red of blue). Anyway, her voice is fantastic and I’d love to see more Aimer reactions, since there are so few out there!

My favorite japanese singer. The passion in her voice is... "chef's kiss"... the tone, the everthing.

Aimer is Incredible! Her voice is so smooth and flowing, it's just....*chef's kiss* I'm glad someone suggested her! Don't worry about her not getting the attention she deserves. She sells out huge stadiums! Would definitely love to see more Aimer on your channel. I recommend Kataomoi, or After Rain. Those are my top Aimer songs! (Live versions of course :D )

Hey dude, just want to contribute some corrections on the song you were listening to: The title of the song is 'Us', and was composed by another rad Japanese artist 'T.K. from Ling Tosite Sigure' (check out his song 'Unravel', it's a classic anime masterpiece) :D The title you're referring to is actually the name of her live concert which she held in the famous Nippon Budokan in Tokyo, Japan. Overall though, she's a really really amazing J-pop artist, hope you get to check her out more often now, along with ONE OK ROCK :D Hope this helped out :)

I second that with TK, should check him out, he is amazing (more in the prog rock genre with pop influence) would also recommend from him katharsis, copy light or P.S. Red I

Best female internationally known Japanese artist by far, the song "Ref:rain" i feel is my fav both in Song and MV actually for Live too, and yes she is very good friends with Taka from one ok rock, my other personal favs are "Hakuchuumu", "Blind to you", "Anatanideawanakereba -Kasetsutouka-", all of these are great for her voice :), and "Blind to you" is mostly in english too, enjoy :)

I loved your video and the detailed explanation you gave. It was great! Also I might be late, but you should listen to these 3 Aimer's songs in this order : 1- Hana no Uta 2- I Beg You 3- Spring Song (Haru wa Yuku) They are among the best of her songs, as all she sings is top tier.

Aimer's been around for AGES, she's super popular in niche circles, mostly anime/game circles, but she's recently releasing more songs for live action dramas, so we hope that gets traction! Japanese pop music has a bad rep for being weird, so most people don't take time to explore the japanese music scene more, which, imo, is one of the best and most varied in the world. I hope you explore Aimer's music more! She also sings a variety of genres! My recommendations: Kataomoi Marie April Showers Akane Sasu Black Bird Chouchou Musubi

You probably never heard of TK from Ling Tosite Sigure but this guy always composed hard to sing song. He composed this to Aimer when they do a collaboration. Obviously i think this is the hardest song for Aimer to sing on live. The distortion u heard are kinda his trademark (?). Anyways, please do checkup others Aimer song. They are totally worth it. You will see how far her voice range is. I recommend you to check Stand Alone, Black Bird or just go straight to her channel man. I doubt u can do the reaction video tho since she labelled under Sony.

If you want to see different kinds of vocals and blended musical styles, then I highly recommend Kalafina! Aimer covered one of their songs (Believe) live, and they’ve both worked with Yuki Kajiura for song composition!

Moreover, you can react to Anata ni Deawanakereba and Koi Wazurai since those two songs have lots of vibrato in it. Just noticed that you love hearing vibratos so yeah.

My apologies for being totally off topic... but I noticed you haven't reacted to any NCT yet and that's just sad. 😄 I'd like to recommend a few songs, BUT I'm incapable of only listing a 'few' so here's a whole friggin list! (Couple things first, NCT is a 21 member group divided into 4 sub units - NCT U, NCT 127, NCT Dream and WayV which is the Chinese sub unit. NCT U is an open group, so it can have any number of members for a project. Also, fun fact, more than half the group is comprised of foreign members, two of which are North Americans - Johnny from Chicago and Mark from Vancouver.) NCT U - The 7th Sense NCT U - Boss NCT U - Baby Don't Stop NCT 127 - Kick It NCT 127 - Regular (eng ver) NCT 127 - Simon Says WayV - Turn Back Time WayV - Bad Alive WayV - Take Off NCT Dream - Boom NCT Dream - Ridin' NCT Dream - Go Next to BTS, Mamamoo and Blackpink, these kids are my absolute favorites in all of kpop... they're just so damn good at what they do... music production, choreography and concepts are all on point every time. Anyhoo... hope you give them a listen! 👍
