Thank you! This was my old grip where I felt everything was just perfect for me and I was performing the best in cs. I lost this grip and forgot how to do it for around 3 years! I never noticed what my thumb, ring finger nor my little finger was doing while I was gripping like this for some reason, but after I tried the grip came back to me instantly! This is a savior of a video 😍

So thankful for this amazing video mate! I do the same, and I've always thought it's a bad habit that I should get rid off. But now I feel relieved knowing that a God Tier Aiming Coach uses this method. Probably that's why mouse pads affected my aim so much (using Artisan Raiden XS now since I feel it's the best feeling on my skin so far).

im just getting back into fps games and trying to get my aim back up to par. I used to have all my fingers off the pad, just on the sides of the mouse and it never felt like I had complete control of the mouse. Been experimenting with having fingertips on the pad and the difference is night and day. So much more control over the mouse and it feels like you can actually put the mouse exactly where you want it

I discovered that an older superlight mouse of mine, the Cooler Master mm720 (similar to the g303 but wider and stubbier & with a pinky rest), a mouse which I used to think was too wide a shape to be accurate, actually works well with this grip. The mm720 pinky rest helps in this grip. Another mouse this would be good with this is the Fantech Aria DX7, a slightly longer "egg" mouse. I can't get a very good grip this way with the Model D though, because of the "flange" on the right side. Maybe the Roccat Kone Pro would also work well. I don't know if you are familiar with American Baseball, but its kind of like the grip one would use to throw a knuckle ball. "Knuckle" grip. The knuckle of your hand is really stabilizing the mouse (as with the baseball) while at the same time allowing more accurate aiming.

I find skating my fingertips with my mouse along the mousepad alone helps me aim, as I can use my fingertips sens of touch (which is a lot more precise than anywhere else on your arm), to get great feedback on how I am moving my mouse.

I already used my fingertips for guiding/placement and arm(elbow to wrist) as the extension that moves from my shoulder. These 3 parts require effort lesser sequentially, IYK,YK Effort is not necessarily movement but rather adjustment frequency, and followed up with consistent awareness of the micro movements

I have been doing this for a long time and always thought it was a weird quirk by me, as I never seen anyone use it. This video exactly demonstrates what I'm doing! Tracking targets is so much better this way. I use a Beast X which weighs next to nothing so it's easy to lift. I do keep contact with the pad with the very front right part of the mouse mostly for stability as it keeps me grounded.

Thought I would just clarify that the clearance being higher on the thumb side and lower on the pinky/ring finger side is just because of the G303 SE mouse shape. You can see the Model D has even clearance.

I use this aim tech. Funny thing is that I had no idea it was even something players used. I just went with a random grip that felt that made me most comfortable. The only issue with this grip is that if you don't have steady hands (Like me for example) Control will be somewhat difficult. I tend to relax my hands and breath slowly so that I can control my nerves and my focus. I also modified it where I release the mouse for a second and do a quick hand reset between team fights and I adjust my crosshair to where I want to aim next.

Just an update on my G303 test for the 2nd time: I gave it 10 days of around 6 hrs gaming per day, I couldn't keep on coz I was so inconsistent with my aim, especially my flicks, they never felt consistent til the 10th day. I'm still so surprised since I do use the same exact grip and even the floating mouse grip method as you just mentioned. I really hope u do a content on End Game Gear XM2we or Lamzu Atlantis Mini (not the big one, feels so huge in hand), since those 2 feel the best for me for some reason, could be coz of the sensor position and wrist aiming. and if you feel like testing how effective the mouse's sensor position, I would recommend Cooler Master MM712, coz it has a very unique sensor position. I know how annoying it is to test a new mouse mate, I just thought about dropping some suggestions, but I really hope to hear your conclusions regarding those mice, since your opinion is so valuable to me than any other content creators out there. Keep on the Awesome work mate!

Thanks for the update. I'd like to get more into reviewing gear. One problem is that a few years ago I was constantly trying new mice and now have a good idea of what shapes I prefer, but that also means i'd be buying these mice just for a review, knowing there's very little chance that i'd actually use them. When the channel grows some more, it may be more viable for me to do.

This is perfect for me with a katar pro wireless. I mean even my grip is perfect for this! I was thinking of a way to reduce my mouse’s weight for better flicks and lowering the lift of distance which is pretty high on a katar pro. So this is perfect. I also think it’s the best shape for this technique (my mouse) and it kinda forces you to a grip that is very compact for this! WOOOOW! THANK YOU!

This is anything but "forgotten". I've been using this grip (or actually a very similar variant) since I was a young kid getting into games. Having contact with both mouse and mousepad makes it really easy to build muscle and tactile memory. I don't know if this is the most used grip or the one that anyone would feel more natural, but at the end of the day, anything that makes you comfortable is going to be the best option. Forcing yourself into other people's habits and bodies can be a bit counter-productive in my opinion.

Using scroll wheel or side buttons will have some impact on aiming. Just becomes a tradeoff as to whether the slight performance hit is worth whatever you gain from having those closer binds. While you’re waiting here’s a couple of tips 1. Practice breathing exercises while trying difficult scenarios (honing in on this will assist you being less tense) 2. Stretch consistently 3. Listen to your body when you feel unnecessary tensing of your arm or hand. 4. Play out of your comfort zone the more you do this the more you are getting used to a surprise scenario and won’t be as jittery or flustered. I hope this somewhat helps until the video releases happy gaming!

I tried this 2 day's ago when playing osu on maxed out DPI and this made me really inconsistent. Reducing pressure and relaxing my grip on the mouse during high DPI testing did reduce the jumps/friction point when a movement started from standstill. Is this testing everything shows up from tensed muscle jitter to dust on the mouse pad and lifting the mouse reduced most problems but I do lack stability when I have to lift my mouse.
