So you know, they're very out of sync (and sometimes not present) in the "aiming with fingertip grip" section of the video. Personally I'd rather see them in youtube's built-in subtitles (with a pop up on screen saying that they're there), but I never had an issue with your accent so I'm not really the audience. They aren't annoying or anything though.

I had the same issue with pain in joints origionally too. It comes from finger flexors being too weak so they get overworked easily. They are also not used to load bearing so they feel shaky and insecure which makes you want to grip the mouse firmer or look for stronger contact. The number one thing for me with any fingertip variation is to be able to just barely grip it like the way you would grip a screen, enough contact to keep it firmly in place but nice and loose to not damage the screen. Extra pressure means extra fatigue, more cramping and this leads to a shakier grip. Its all a vicious cycle. Trying to not tense up or to put it more acturately, increase tension to the point it causes stiff joints or joint lock, is the hardest thing. I feel like a lot of practice or finger strengthening would help but the mental factor would be the biggest benefit as you would be able to put more faith in your light grip rather than second guessing it and subconciously feeling insecure and increasing tension. Either way im glad i witched my hand health has been way better. Constantt static grips are terrible for your hands so ghe extra movement of fingers is a major health benefit

Recently I've seen one of the best tips for light gripping, you have to try imagining, that you're holding an egg instead of a mouse and try to focus on that feeling consciously as much as you can while playing
@weirdnightowl507711 күн бұрын
i'm a fingertip user and been using it for over a year now. As stated in the video the grip is superb with adjusting the crosshair an extremely small distance which is very hard to do with other grips at the cost of your horizontal flick stability. In games like cs or valorant horizontal flicks are imo just as important as the microadjustment as your crosshair placement is just impossible to be on point consistently regardless of your level there for alot of wide flicks are involved. In my experience the fingertip grip is only recommended for people that are comfortable with it playing higher sens and it doesnt cause pain over a long period of playing so you can abuse the adventage while maintaining stability (fingertipgrip on lower sens just basically destroys your wide flicks stability)

Informative video as always haus :) I really like the new captions, however the part at 6:12 was a bit distracting, I think they'd be a lot better if they were synced with what you were saying like in the 2nd part of the video. Your videos seem overall more cinematic without the captions, but being more inclusive towards people who may have trouble understanding the accent is always nice. But as someone who tried getting used to fingertip as well, I've had very similar experiences to you. Worse consistency in my aim overall and pain in my finger joints being the main complaints, even after multiple months. I also think that most small, light fingertip mice seem to have more quality control issues while being more expensive than their claw-grip centric competitors. Anyways, keep up the good work!

I started using fingertip a few months ago and it led me to a whole new style of grip. I use the HSK 4k Pro, yes, with grip for sure, but I don't use the right-click button at all. Instead, I use Z on my keyboard at my Right-Click. This allows me to grip my mouse with my thumb on one side and middle finger on the other side. I've found that by using my middle finger as a side grip finger, instead of on top of the mouse, it leaves my pointer finger being the only "pointing" finger during aiming and something about that feels less cluttered in my brain and therefore more accurate. Weird, but it's working for me.

I'm a lifelong 'active' (actively aim with my fingers) fingertip grip user. You might find that narrow mice will hurt after some time. also non-intuitively lighter mice will be more fatiguing, because it feels like you will need to apply pressure just to stay still (especially in tense situations), whereas heavier mice like ~90g will feel like you're moving around something stably attached to the "ground". So you might wanna try wider, but somehow shorter mice. the best mice for me I've found is the g502 (for everything but fps because it's 120+ g) and g403 aka g703 (I just switched to, from the g pro x) for fps. Which has its own problem of being too tall (so the wrist bends up too much). For me the problem is finding a mouse wide enough to be held comfortably but still light enough and have its "butt" short enough that I have lots of rooms for my finger movements. Also I found that actually modern mice designs with its "safe shape" curve uncomfortable. These aren't perfect but I can't buy every single mouse that exist to try them. Other mice I've tried: g pro x, glorious model d, xtrfy m42, xtrfy mz1 (after these 2, I swore off small mice). I'm looking at the glorious model i (which is a 70g g502 copy) but like g502 the thumb wing is a problem. so I'm actually kinda at my wits end and just settle for the g703. as reference I can navigate my 1440p desktop with just my fingers (at 1600dpi), and I use mid sensitivity: 33.385 cm/360* at 103* 16:9 horizontal fov (I always use same fov every game or its 3d visuomotor equivalent)

@jai8064 Жыл бұрын
I think something worth pointing out is that the HSK and M2K have a sensor which is super forward, whereas something like the S12 Small has more a balanced sensor placement (for fingertip). IMO that's why it feels so good, the others while you'd think are more optimal shapes, end up feeling jittery or slippery due to the sensor being so extremely forward. With fingertip the sensor tends to be more forward relatively to the wrist than other grips already.

I feel like these companies don't understand fingertip grip. A genuine fingertip grip mouse will never have side buttons. When using a fingertip grip, if you attempt to push a side button with your thumb, then your ring finger is going to push your mouse wildly to the left, forcing you to regrip with your thumb. It seems as though a lot of people who think they're using a fingertip grip, are actually using a claw grip, where their palm is a point of contact. This is what allows you to use your thumb.

"Numb-thumb" is a thing for us "Fingerers" as the first phalangy of the thumb is all about "stability". Also getting your wrist down will help with your egos. My daily driver is the HSK and I agree that the smaller shell isnt the "breakthrough" people think - Im looking now into other mice to take its place. The keys imho are yes veery much light clicks that can acuate from any place on the mouse button in the same way i.e. the click needs to actuate the same way with the same presure at any point on the mouse button In my experiance this isnt the case on many mice. The length of the shell is another funnny thing; It need not be that short for example griping the HSK I have about 50mm of void before my wrist. So mouse length isnt a factor. the side walls of the shell however are a big deal. I want lots of realestate on the right mouse wall and honestly some "flare" that you can nestle your "pinky" finger in would be ideal. The way mouse slope down towards the front is less ideal for fingertip you want your thumb firmly on the left wall of the shell so it must sit in an area of full contact. this is why side buttons can be simply a PITA in this grip style. sa a result I find us "tipers" griping back further on the mouse then you would think (the tip of my thumb bisects the sensor). This is also why clicks from any point along the mouse button is felling the same is ideal as your clicking a bit further towards the rear of the button and the travel of the click can be quite different at this point. My go too's are Zys Rail, HSK Pro and the Viper mini the piper mini is probably the best of these for finger tip but I'm looking for others to enhance the experiance further. The Aria looks promising as does the Endgame gear OP1 8K but also som others like the Orbit.

So if you do one hr of practice with a specific rotation, and in game if the rotation changes (the grip changes ) then the 1hr of training is good as shit. A consistent grip/shape is the most important aspect. There is a video by kovaaks on mouse sensor rotation if anyone want to have a look at. super important for fps :)

I've also found DAV3 Pro is surprisingly quite good for fingertip and have been maining it for some time. I have a HSK Pro 4k delivering today though so we will compare :)

@WorldKeepsSpinnin Жыл бұрын
@@tinychamberzI’ve been learning it’s more about how you move your arm / hands
@Katze822228 Жыл бұрын
I'm using the dav3 too and I often fingertip it. When aim training i fingertip 100% of the time because it gives me the most precision. ingame when moving around or doing large flicks i tend to automatically lower my palm so it has contact with the mouse which turns my grip into a claw grip. But whenever i rest my hand or need the precision from fingertip i automatically lift my palm up again. I never tried a finger tip mouse but normal ambi mice were uncompfortable to fingertip for me so i stick to ergos. I never got why so many people that ergos are bad for fingertip
@tinychamberz Жыл бұрын
@@Katze822228 i think its mostly people that dont really use fingertip, they just say what someome said once. ergoes are so nice for fingertip, i love the skoll mini for example

Jeah kinda found the same More precision overall But way less precision when needing to flick as fast as possible Theres a reason why close to no professional players in tac fps play fingertip

If the community listened only to “pro aimers” that play kovaaks everyday we would be royally fcked. There’s been so many shills for fingertip grip mice on KZbin they’lol probably hate on Haus for saying why he won’t be using ftip anymore.

It's all personal preference, but professional gamers have to deal with different desks, chairs and they have to perform under enormous pressure. Having more control and comfort can prove to be key in these situations, as it has done for me in high tier LAN and online tournaments back in the day!
