Ngl I’m not a big fan of GT at all… but if super goku fought frieza and cell he would have fumbled around in base only to go blue and it be an even fight. I love how goku stays in base for enemies beneath him in GT. they both certainly have their ups and downs, but GT doesn’t seem driven by selling toys. 😅 It really helps with power scaling…

This is basically an alternate timeline that future Trunks created no matter what happens, Androids end up causing Havok and Destruction on the Earth. He didn't change anything back in Dragon Ball Z Android Saga he only just delayed it. If you were to time travel back and try changing anything nothing actually changes it only gets delayed. Things eventually do correct themselves.

Besides, Goku was able to travel to Kibito Kai's planet by locking onto Gohan's energy, but that was after he returned to Other World. Buu was able to reach Kibito Kai's planet by traveling to Other World and sense Goku and Vegeta powering up from there.

If you recall in Resurrection F Gohan lost touch with his Ultimate Form due to his lack of training, the same thing applied here for GT Gohan unfortunately.

It's not treated as a new form in this but a new base which he later he would be able to stack ssj on as his potential would increase overtime with training . Technically it doesn't even make sense as a form compared to this , cuz Old kai said it'd unlock his hidden potential at the time , if he already unlocked it via magic why can he go back and turn it off whenever he wants to ? Didn't he get a potential unlock powerup before in the show too which didn't work like a form ? Why should it ?

It wasn't supposed to be a form he can just turn off by will but a permanent powerup that unlocked all his potential at the time of Buu saga , it's not one of the ssj forms but a magic thing done by old kai, not a multiplier on base but it's how strong could he be in Buu saga if he had kept training all this time ssj forms included . GT Gohan's potential increased over time since he kept training so the powerup he got from earlier in Buu saga stayed but u can say he lost the form since it was supposed to be his best potential and now his best potential would be way greater . In base already solos dbz except Vegito by the scaling shown in Baby arc , so if he were to get the ultimate form again he'd need to do the same ritual thing by Old kai . Like before all the magic stuff in Cell saga the last time Gohan was strongest without magic , we did see Gohan needed specialised sparring and training from someone as strong as Goku while he guided him what to aim for , then he became stronger than Goku , so even if Gohan has been surpassed because of not getting that specialised training from people like Goku and Vegeta , his potential would still be stronger and so regaining ultimate form with Old kai would make him stronger again , not over ssj4 though .
