As a swede I really like to watch these videos about swedish sights, especially when you seem to appreciate them! :) Really like your channel overall also, easily one of the if not the best channel for weapons on KZbin! I like your take on shooting and the respect you show for the rifles you try out aswell.

LAV, I took your advice from a carbine course out in Phoenix. Bought an Aimpoint Micro T-1 w/ 2 m.o.a. dot, cost more than the rifle it's on but Absolutely NO REGRETS ! Best red dot EVER , holds zero and best part is I've had it on for close to 5 YEARS now. Still working !

I used to be an Eotech fan. After realizing that Eotechs break all the time, not to mention the up to 8MOA shift due to nothing more than changes in temperature, I dropped Eotech altogether for Aimpoint. Eotech can't even manage to keep on target if the temp changes, yet Aimpoint will still work after a fire. That's why Eotech is now offering refunds for all optics sold while Aimpoint is selling like crazy.
@baekacaek
@baekacaek 9 жыл бұрын
+ATL Infidel to be fair, the video only proves that the Aimpoint still works after enduring thru fire, it does not prove that it keeps its zero after fire.
@johnd9357
@johnd9357 9 жыл бұрын
+Albert Baek Yes but a 1200-1500 degree house fire is an order of magnitude worse than what Eotechs suffer, and fail from. With an Eotech if I zero my optic in winter, then go shoot it in summer, I can experience up to 8MOA shifts in POI. Think about that. That's 36 inches at 300 yards. That's totally missing my target. That's why I dumped eotech altogether, not to mention the problems they are plagued with like lens delamination (which makes the reticle disappear), and the fact that they break very often. Eotechs are the #1 optics that fail at carbine courses. You can't really go to a course without seeing at least one fail. Not saying anyone else has to dump them, just saying that I personally have.
@JohnnyUtah71
@JohnnyUtah71 9 жыл бұрын
+ATL Infidel Great comment. While I doubt I personally would ever experience weather that would shift POA OR combat, I returned my EOTECH because they knowingly sold these units to our troops who depend on them to stay ALIVE. I am utterly disgusted that they knew about this problem, kept silent and continued to sell them to the US military. I refuse to support such a company. Wishing you a great day.
@johnd9357
@johnd9357 9 жыл бұрын
JohnnyUtah71 That's also a very valid point. It basically equates to fraud, and is exactly the reason the US government is now pursuing litigation against L3, who makes Eotech optics. I don't mean to sound like an eotech hater, I'm really not. I just greatly dislike the way they handled this, on top of already being a little annoyed at how often they break. I think we can all agree that competition is a good thing, so I sincerely hope they can come back with a newer, stronger product.

And that ladies,Is why i trust my life, and the life of my family to Aimpoint. Buy a $120 vortex for your range rifle, totally fine. I can get behind that no complaints. But if you want to trust your life to that rifle, There is only 1 optic im going to trust. And that is Aimpoint. Id trust an Eotech in terms of reliability... But i dont trust the battery life. Fine if your gonna chamge it before every "mission" but not realistic for a civilian home defence rifle. And lets face it, the battery life of an Aimpoint, a turn it on- leave it on- for years... Thats what im rollin with.

03:51 and 03:52 is supposed to be the same drill (same rifle) but shot by two different rifles?! You can see the first rifle is a Noveske and it had a three prong flash hider and the second one had an extended BCM compensator, which leads me to believe it’s the vicker’s BCM 14.5” 🧐

I run a Aimpoint T-2 on my Arsenal AK with a Ultimak rail. During training the rifle has gotten so hot it was uncomfortable to hold. The T-2 was taking quite a bit of heat but took it and asked for more. All the beating and bouncing it has held zero and never let me down. In my opinion the only reddot in the world is Aimpoint while the rest are just lasers mounted in a aluminum housings pretending to be reddots.

touofthehighplains It's something that can track hit's better and you can change what your target is in seconds without having to bring it back or go down range. It's a luxury, it's not very cost effective to buy an escalade as a person who lives by themselves when a camry does the same thing.

Oh really? Which Vortex red dot can be turned on and left on for 3 - 5 years? Which Vortex red dot is literally capable of surviving IED's? I like Vortex. Big fan. But don't be silly. That extra $250 over a Vortex optic is money well spent. Battle proven reliability. And not having to turn the optic on is a big deal on a defensive or duty weapon. If I need to grab the 6920 I have next to my bed when I'm awoken by my door being kicked in at 3:00am, having the optic already on saves me precious seconds, especially when my fine motor skills break down by the stress and confusion of waking to a person in my home and my alarm blaring and my wife freaking out and my family's lives on the line. Yeah, give me the Aimpoint. Their lives are worth $250. YMMV
