I loved Shatner's delivery of the final line, "Sweet Jesus", when he looked out the window at the matte painting of everything covered in webs.

They had this recurring theme going throughout the movie about "Should we cancel the town fete or not?" so naturally i expected some kind of climatic action sequence involving spiders involving a town fete! Instead what do we get? "Oh, by the way - the spiders invaded the town fete but we couldn't afford to film it so I guess you'll just have to use your imaginations. Oh, well. Goodnight!"
