Saw them live at T In The Park. When Club Foot came...The whole place erupted. with over 100.000 people all singing the same song. Brilliant. I shall never forget it. Brilliant band. Amazing live.

you guys HAVE to react to the stone roses. Influenced so many of these bands (namely Oasis). Didn't have as big a following in the states as they should have, but their debut album is one of the best of all time. Start with I Wanna Be Adored and go from there... plenty of great tunes!

Agree, the roses had much more of a lasting impact for me anyway, I liked Kasabian for about a month in 2004. I'll always love that Test Transmission tune though..

Absolutely not. Bittersweet symphony was simply a rip off using samples of a 1960’s orchestral version of a Rolling Stones track. Awful and not original at all by the Verve and they got sued to hell for it

Universality was a good word. Brit-rock/brit-pop had a lot of it. Working class sound (regardless of band background, they tapped into it). Pulp was so good at it, verve and stereophonics are good bands to listen to for that theme
