Air brake doesn't work / Bad parking brake valve

The trailer was without service brake , driver was able to release the parking brake but the service brake were not working, and all this because the parking brake valve was broken and it were not allowing the air to go to the air tank, after we replaced the parking brake valve the tank was filled with air and the service brake started to work!!!

Thank you for the video..I watched it yesterday and when the mechanic showed up to troubleshoot I mentioned what the problem might be.... after two hours of trying various things he came to the realization that the problem was indeed the pbv....😊

In situations when stuck in the boondocks , remove the cap off the air governor and loosen the screw to let the compressor pump 150 lbs . This will loosen the stuck air valve plunger . Readjust air governor , replace valve at home .

Hey Valeriu, I have a problem on my trailer. 2016 Great Dane when I apply trailer parking break and disconnect the red glad hand, the air comes out from the trailer side. Can you help me please. I replaced the valve that you replaced it didnt fix the problem. Air still comes out when I apply trailer parking break

This is probably a question everyone knows but I’m wondering how a parking brake may become disengaged? If you hit the buttons and then go to work on the truck (volvo) what would cause it to roll back (not the 5 sec safety). The truck rolls after putting the brake buttons on - like 30 seconds or a minute later.

Sometimes can be delayed release when the air tank doesn't have enough air, and you need to wait for the pressure to build up!

Check to see on the emergency side with park brake applied if there is air still coming out of lines To brake chambers - could be a faulty park brake valve or MV3 valve as they call it or a faulty relay quick release valve - if that is all good and your park brakes aren’t holding check for broken brake pot springs and for glazed drums
