@@victornikolov6008 VC-10 was a stunning plane. The last time I saw one flying was Kinloss to Southern England with PM Gorden Brown aboard. I was camping in the beautiful Cairngorms. Although I was miles away, when she flew over it was so loud and lasted ~ 10 minutes. I was used to this under Stansted Airport airport with several daily BAC 1-11s and 737-200 being their stuff!

Planes are just so beautiful. The passing scenery. Each takeoff and landing is different. I remember taking some really hard landings and some landings the pilot is so good you can barely tell you landed. Can't wait for my next flight

These are evacuation windows. They have to be large enough to let their fat fingered pilots to escape the cockpit from that window with a rope attached to the roof, available in case of emergency.

On Airbus planes, "RETARD" is an audible command during landing to reduce the throttles to idle around 20 feet above the runway. Most dangerous moment of flying. Every pilot's expectations of nightmares include passengers "I hope I will survive this landing without any tragic incident" these are the words that come into my mind whenever I am one of the passengers inside that plane. So many times I watch one of these cockpit view videos “pilot induced oscillation” comes to mind. Great instructor (and FedEx Capt.) flew with me once and told me to calm down my inputs on my approach’s. He was absolutely correct.

Seems to be the standard way, right? Big planes like this one, is a bit sluggish reacting to inputs and I believe the Airbus flight logic also filter out wild or fast inputs to avoid oscillations.

He brought it down to 10m and they are still falling with 30kmph velocity, translational velocity is very high, there are crosswinds, you can’t decelerate too much otherwise it would be a free fall but you have to do it at right time because runway is limited… Check out crash landing videos , they are truly geniuses
