OK. Final report: I didnt use correct reciever and it was signal loss. There are carbon fibres in the fuselage and I didnt notice them. The plane will be fixed and we will see it in the air again in all its glory. Big salute to all from Slovenia and never give up this amazing hobby.

Hi guys, you didn't check your TX it will have told you everything you need to know as those receiver's have full telemetry it's a shame you didn't look at the data that would have told you all you need to know 👍 I have exactly the same receiver in my Hellcat like Captain Blaz's I have had no issues. Just shows you how sturdy these planes from Igor are built any other plane would have been a complete write off !! 😁👌
@denniszeller21152 жыл бұрын
The critical thing is you have shadow effects behind carbon elements, so you need to have the antennas outside as Robert said. One on each side of the plane. You wont notice the bad signal necessarily before. Salute to you guys
@dandanthedandan543212 жыл бұрын
Steve is spot on. When you are flying modern Spektrum equipment like you guys are using (transmitters and receivers), you can scroll into the menu and check holds/fades. Holds would have told you if you experienced any signal losses as would the light on the receiver itself had your battery not come unplugged. You don't have to guess about signal losses. The trick is you must check for this info before turning your radio off. Sounds like you were using an AR410 or AR620 receiver (both with internal antennas). Great receives for most smaller planes but not composite. Something older like the AR610 or AR6210 with satellite or newer like AR631 would work well. Spektrum used to sell a Rx made for carbon fuselages (AR6260) but I'm not sure if they still make that one or not. Looking forward to seeing that beauty fly again soon! That plane deserves it.

Haha!! Awesome video as usual! I had the exact same thing happen but with an eflite f16 edf jet, but i was not as lucky to be able to drive out to the crash site. Mine lost control and flew straight into a lake a few hundred meters or more from the shoreline. And it was nearly sunset. So i had to race 10 km to home.get my little boat and electric motor and get out to it before dark. I managed to get my plane and all the pieces that were floating in the water but i did lose my spektrum 6s battery into the lake. So the morale of the story is dont fly near a lake close to sunset because things can happen! Keep up the great videos!

if there is any color balancing going on in WFB it seems like it's going for the cold-light maybe, could use some white balancing into some warmer tones. Eitherway, it needs _something_ while DJI's post processing is harsh it brings out much more detail while WFB's recoding seemed like a cloudy late fall afternoon at a cemetary before it was time to fight off the zombie apocalypse. just my 2 cents = )

The word 'composite' is a general term; it can mean a lot of different materials, but from the evidence we can see that this is one sturdy plane. It might have an element of fibreglass, or even contain some metal. That wooden motor mount could easily block a signal to a receiver designed for all foam planes. Unless the moles have developed an interference transmitter, which is unlikely because 1 if they had they would have used it closer to the runway (moles are far too lazy to walk that far and they can't drive) and 2 moles are relatively small and find it difficult to lift the tx. it looks like signal loss. The front end is very similar to a balsa plane, so a more powerful receiver is the thing, but of course you know this, I just wanted to say 'hi guys', and write some stupid stuff about ze moles. I am looking forward to the re-maiden. Big salute from London. 👍

I look forward to seeing this plane fly again. Thanks for the video! There's not much like the experience of making your way to a crash site, wondering what you will find. (NC/USA)

Usually, combat pilots attach a fiberglass "tongue" to the side of the battery long 70-100 mm, which protrudes 10-15 mm ahead of the battery, and put a shock absorber (soft rubber) in front of the battery. This very often saves the battery in such cases. I do not fix the hood with screws, but fix it with adhesive tape, this still saves the hood. The hood can be carefully sealed with liquid super glue by first joining the edges of the gusts.
