Wow, what a fantastic trip and video Mark, thanks for all your hard work putting it all together..the noise the photos and the commentary make for a great watch. It made me chuckle a little bit how the pilots saunter up to the aircraft, have a quick look round, then jump in stuffing their bag of goodies down by the seats, much like I do when getting into my truck..!😅.. The only thing is there 0 -60 mph is a bit quicker than mine..

Haha, yes, be great if the lorry was as quick as them! Yes, love watching the build up to a flight, not often captured from what I’ve seen, something different anyway. The first two parts have taken some clipping together! Nearly finished the 3rd and final part. Should be up next week🤞🏻 Thanks Martin👍🏻

Great photography. The outboard pylons on the EA18 Growler are AN/ALQ-99 electronic warfare pods that are powered by the propeller at the front and not refueling tanks. The blue sponge looking thing on the pole is to discharge static electricity from the canopy rail after landing.

Hi there. Thanks for putting me right on the outboard pylons on the Growler, you learn something new every day! That will teach me for being presumptuous 🙈 We suspected after watching the video that the canopy wipe was something to do with static, but wasn’t sure so thanks for the heads up on that as well, brilliant. Thanks for watching 👍🏻

Hi Mark. Great video thank you. I think it is to do with static as the ground crew plugged it in to the side of the aircraft and then the wiped over the glass. Greetings from cape Town

Hi Warren. Thanks for watching. Yes, I agree after watching it back, gotta be a static clearing type exercise on landing👍🏻

Brilliant photos! Maybe some of the pilots flying see this and ask for copies 😄👍🏼

Thanks Wayne. That would be great if the crews like the images, you never know👍🏻

Hi Mark, I’m wondering if you could give me some advice please. I’m just starting out with sports photography. I’m finding almost all my photos aren’t in focus/appear blurry. Shooting in good light and even with a high shutter speed (minimum 1/1250) and low ISO (1-200) and aperture wide open (f2.8) Is it a case of using the viewfinder to try and focus on players faces or am I missing something? Currently using the middle zone AF points. Not sure if I should try single point focus…If it could be anything else please can you let me know as it’s so disheartening! Thanks a lot

Hi Millie, a quick question would be, are you using AI servo focusing mode/continuous tracking focussing? What camera are you using?
@milliebevington3061 Жыл бұрын
@@MarkKerton Hi Mark thank you for replying. Yep I’m using AI Servo mode on a Canon 7D with a f/2.8 70-200mm Sigma EX HSM APO lens. Cheers!
