I have a Snap on air drill I bought new off the truck around 1984 and it's still good as new. My only complaint is it does not reverse but I live with that.

My only reason for not using most air tools is the size of my compressor. Cordless tools I have are more than capable for my purposes, and it would take a 60 gallon 5HP compressor to run tools with the same power as my cordless stuff. I DO like those step drills, and finally "stepped up" to a quality "pine tree drill" that lasts and is sharper.

horsepower and tank don´t really mean much. there´s a lot to learn for proper setup.

@@thebrokenbone yep. Tank psi, hose size and coupling flow rate makes the most difference if one is looking for the most power from air.

Great review! Could you do one on your air hammer please?

not to mention if you stall an air tool they don´t give up the ghost.there´s no planned obsolescence, no designed failure points. proper setup and care and air tools last a lifetime. i have a small aluminium high pressure bottle (2000psi) to run my air tools "cordless".

What kind of tank? So I'd use my 5 gallon compressor to fill that one to 2k psi? I imagine running a drill would last all day. Even if it has to recharge at night and refill it
