Hi Sarah, I really loved this video with the Air Dry Clay bird sculpture lamp. It looked fantastic when it was finished, and it's utterly unique of course! Please, please, please Sarah would you please make a longer video one day, showing us as many different items as you can make out of Air Dry Clay, just do it once for us. I am mad about Das Air Dry Clay but I've run out of ideas of what to make. You always have great ideas, and thank you for all the inspiration you given many of us over the years. Your videos are always so much fun to watch. God bless you and all those you love, now and always.

I love all the things you make. The crafters motto is ,” I could make that-but a little bit different”. I will tell you a little something I know about dry brushing though. Put paint on your brush but then scrub most of the paint off of it on a paper towel. Then dry brush. You’ll. Get a much softer look. Go back to that spot on the paper till where you scrubbed off the paint and try to get more paint onto your brush when it runs out but then when that is depleted , dip into the paint and scrub paint off to paper towel again and repeat. It will all look too subtle when you are done But just let it dry for 2 or three minutes. Then repeat the whole process. The second coat will become more obvious but still so soft and blended and just bringing up highlights and texture in such a natural way.

I'm not that keen on birds but loving how you explain the process.I know you were trying to find a sealant to waterproof clay, have you ever used Pal Tiya? Could you please review it in future? Some viewers who commented on previous videos were interested in garden sculptures. Apparently, Pal Tiya is a powder for outdoors sculptures that looks and feels like clay and air dries like concrete -no firing or kiln needed. It does look a bit plasticky or idk artificial to me though...Looking forward to more sculpture videos!🤞🥰

If I wasn’t going to add a base I would have the bird sitting, and not make legs

It should be fine if you tie the bag really tight and maybe wrap in cling film first as well, you can always mist the clay in the morning if you think it has dried out a bit if the air did get to it, best of luck, have fun
